Painkillers unless you've got a chemist near you, then buy some clove oil and use that too.

Take a ruler and from the side, the edge, press on the ends of the fingers... It will feel painful but that is not a bad sort of pain! as it will leave you in seconds, minutes at the most... as the pain in her mouth will dissipate and go right numb for at least twenty minutes and sometimes much more! You will feel tiny crystals at the ends of the fingers and these are the ones to rub and massage as this will truly ease the pain in the mouth... This is how they used to pull people's teeth a very long time ago... It's a form of acupuncture without needles... Work the tips of the fingers and the worst point (as pain goes) is the one you'll know to be mainly responsible to help the actual pain in the mouth... When all else fails, back to basics, as it were! It always works for me! and you can find this in any reflexology book at your local library!
I would also rinse with sea salt and water! on a regular basis!

Oil of cloves - you should be able to get it at the pharmacy. It works. Just soak a cotton bud in it and apply to the affected tooth - the first application is a nasty shock but after that the pain reduces to a bearable level. If you can't get it, just gritting the teeth with a clove between them also helps. Cloves as in the brown stick things you have in the cooking cupboard to add to your curries.

Also nurofen was recommended by my dentist until I could get there. It sort of worked.

Whooooahhhh! Please be careful with Clove Oil!!!It can burn the soft tissues in your mouth!I realise you can buy it at the chemists, but you should seek advice from a dentist before putting that anywhere near your mouth!!!
Also, this old wives tale about using an aspirin next to the tooth that hurts-DONT!The soft tissues in your mouth are very delicate-be careful!!!You can cause a nasty burn on the soft tissues of your mouth!!!ASK A DENTIST if you are not sure!

Clove oil is always a favourite
or you could try getting a small piece of tissue paper and pop it in to gap it will stop the air getting in to it.
It works for me every time
should last until you go to the dentists
Good luck

If you haven't got nurofen or paracetomol..try two pieces of metal, say a coin and a bit of aluminium foil on either side of the tooth..along with the saliva this creates a battery whose electrical effect will interfere with the nerve signals reaching the brain, failing that apply a PP3 battery to the affected region.

Not really seeing the dentist is the only cure but she could try taking some pain killers and try her best to avoid liquid getting into the hole especially very hot and/or very cold

Use a mouthwash containing Benzydamine hydrochloride .. it will tend to sooth pain ... or you can also use a mouthwash containing lignocaine .. try not to use dental wax if the cavity isnt properly cleaned .. use a mouth wash (simple) if you cant find one containing benzydamine hydrochloride so that the cavity is cleaned .. after that apply the dental wax ...

Painkillers or put either clove oil or teething gel on it.

Dentek do a variety of emergency dental kits - including 1 that is just cotton buds impregnated with a v.strong painkiller.
