Here are 2 quotes that show their attitude and the reality of their beliefs.
Atheists express their rage against God although in their view He does not exist. --C. S. Lewis
Atheism is a crutch for those who cannot bear the reality of God. -- Tom Stoppard
Regarding Richard Dawkins Alister McGrath states:
“Such is Dawkins’s unruffled scientific impartiality that in a book of almost four hundred pages, he can scarcely bring himself to concede that a single human benefit has flowed from religious
faith, a view which is as a priori improbable as it is empirically false.”
"Atheism must indeed be in a sorry state if its leading contemporary defender has to depend so heavily – and so obviously – on the improbable and the false to bolster his case."
Even Antony Flew the former atheist (30+ years of speaking as an atheist) that had debated men such as C.S. Lewis recently said that the latest biological research "has shown, by the almost unbelievable complexity of the arrangements which are needed to produce (life), that intelligence must have been involved.". He even said that Richard Dawkins has not presented an even remotely tennable theory for the creation of life. Boy was R.D.... annoyed?

We might get angry when people, like you, say such stupid things.
I have not read Dawkins book, and was an atheist long before I ever heard of the guy.
We really don't need to follow anyone, thinking for oneself is the only thing that atheists have in common.

unquestionably, atheism has no longer some thing to do with being hostile to faith. that could be irreligion. And yep, some atheists act like snobs, and others act rather honest. similar with the different faith or subculture. yet rather, I hate those questions that say "Why do atheists..." or "Why do theists...." because our beliefs do not outline us, nor do they outline our movements, nor do our movements outline our beliefs. i'd be Muslim, or Jewish, or Christian, or Buddhist, yet i will nevertheless be an same individual. i'd be in simple terms as useful, in simple terms as honest, in simple terms as moody... i will in simple terms trust in some diverse issues. and that i hate this theory that atheists are on one aspect, and theists are on yet another aspect, by using the undeniable fact that's rather no longer the way it truly is. And it sounds so stupid even having to assert that, because it will be a given. i imagine it would want to be perfect to assert "Why are there human beings the following that act so snobby?" because rather, those snobby atheists might want to be in simple terms as snobby as they're actually in the adventure that they believed some thing else. it truly is their personality, and considering that they trust strongly in some thing (the actuality that there's no god, therefore) they use that as an excuse to allow out their snobbish and indignant comments. and they'd do the very similar ingredient in the adventure that they were theist: they'd use that excuse (that they strongly trust that a god exists) to allow out their snobbish and indignant comments.

I don't necessarily "not" believe in God...
It's just that the idea seems pretty far-fetched to me given our 21st Century understanding of how superstitious myths propagated into true beliefs during a time in human evolution when people had absolutely no idea about the "true" nature of our existence on Earth.
Science is a candle in the darkness of human ignorance and superstition lighting the way slowly to "true" understanding of reality.
The people that came up with the idea of Gods (or "a" God) didn't even know we live on a planet orbiting the Sun in a Galaxy of Suns, they didn't know about physics, math, genetics, evolution, etc etc etc, so they "guessed," wildly...
And most of those "guesses" were sheer wishful speculation designed to comfort them in their ignorance...and help them cope with the fear they would naturally feel at "not knowing" what the heck is going on with their own existence...
Science is slowly, but surely, actually finding out things that were "unknowable" way back when...
Thus, disproving common misunderstandings and "myths" about the nature of reality.
To hold on stubbornly to ancient "guesses" about the nature of reality because they "still" provide mental "comfort" in the face of all the "now discovered" facts that utterly disprove those "guesses," is a planet-wide mass denial of epic proportions.
I, personally, dislike "labels" like Atheist, Agnostic, Religious, whatever...
From my experience, you can't accurately label any group of people, or individuals, because people are not "labels..."
They're unique individuals, and any "label" you stick on them falls off the minute they walk out of the room...
The "anger" you sense, is because people like me know that religious people are being stubborn about adhering to beliefs we long ago proved are just flat out wrong...
There may be a God, or Gods, but it's very "improbable," and is not even a "good" guess given what we know today...

You really can't understand that some people don't worship anybody, do you?
Maybe that's the reason that some christians claim atheists don't exist.
You ever notice how angry people get when you hurt them?

You may as well worship a pumpkin. You'd get the same results and actually have a TANGIBLE object to adore.
I'm not an atheist, I am agnostic. I do not believe in ANY gods, especially yours. You are truly a sad, little person.

You're joking, right?
Right?!?
Please, please, please tell me that this is a joke.
If not, well, then, you're trolling, and that needs to stop.
I don't worship or follow Dawkins. He has some ideas that I agree with, and some that I don't. You're being unfair to me the minute that you associate me with Dawkins simply for my atheism.
