Here is the honest truth. The Christain church is experiencing a great falling away in America. If you go to the churches in countries such as South Korea you will see a church in revival. But sadly American churches are too wrapped up in numbers to see that our churches are fading away. We have become seeker friendly and don't want to offend anyone. But in our quest to this we have forgotten that the best way to grow a church is through the preaching of an unwaterdown, unadulterated message. But soon as Joel says there will be a pouring out of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is going to be poured out upon all flesh. The true church needs then to be ready for the harvest that will ensue. I hope that the American church isn't so blind that they will miss this AWESOME time.

I'm sure that most churches look more like the Laodicean church than the Philadelphian one.
Within the various letters to the churches, you will see that these are actual churches that existed historically. Further, they describe the church age overall. And, they describe various churches within various church ages. You can find examples of each even today.

The church of Laodicea. Just look at all of the compromise and watered down gospel to please people and tickle the ears.

I think my church was starting to loose it's first love but has moved more into a church on fire for the Lord, one that is hot...not lukewarm or cold.

Chapters 1-3: Letters to the Churches
Literal: John, on the island of Patmos, explains that he was in the Spirit when Christ appears to him standing in the midst of seven candlesticks. Christ then tells John to write down what he sees and hears concerning seven churches.
Interpretation
While in meditation, John's conscious mind becomes open to his subconscious mind and his superconscious mind. The seven churches and the seven seals represent the seven spiritual centers (i.e., chakras) of the body where the physical, mental and spiritual forces all come together. The superconscious mind within John, tells him that anyone who can regain control of these spiritual centers within their bodies can access the superconscious mind and never need to reincarnate again (Rev. 3:12).

Laodicea.
Too many take what the pastor says as truth and don't study it out for themselves. There wouldn't be so many denominations if people would pray & study the Bible more.
It's time to wake up!
