Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita, Madhya Lila 16.281
tabu vrndavana yaha’ loka sikhaite
seita karibe, tomara yei laya citte
TRANSLATION
“Although wherever You stay is Vrndavana, You will still go to Vrndavana just to instruct people. Otherwise, You will do whatever You think best.”
PURPORT to above verse be A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of ISKCON
(International Society for Krishna Consciousness)
It was not essential for Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu to go to Vrndavana, for wherever He stayed was immediately converted to Vrndavana. Indeed, at that place were also the river Ganges, the river Yamuna and all other places of pilgrimage. This was also expressed by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu Himself when He danced in the Ratha-yatra. At that time He said that His very mind was Vrndavana (mora-mana—vrndavana). Because His mind was Vrndavana, all the pastimes of Radha and Krishna were taking place within Himself. Nonetheless, just to teach people, He visited bhauma-vrndavana, Vrndavana-dhama in this material world. In this way the Lord instructed everyone to visit Vrndavana-dhama, which is a very holy place.
Materialists consider Vrndavana-dhama an unclean city because there are many monkeys and dogs there, and along the bank of the Yamuna there is refuse. Some time ago, a materialistic man asked me, “Why are you living in Vrndavana? Why have you selected such a dirty place to live after retiring?” Such a person cannot understand that the earthly Vrndavana-dhama is always a representation of the original Vrndavana-dhama. Consequently Vrndavana-dhama is as worshipable as Lord Krishna. Aradhyo bhagavan vrajesa-tanayas tad-dhama vrndavanam: according to Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s philosophy, Lord Sri Krishnaa and His abode, Vrndavana, are equally worshipable. Sometimes materialistic people who have no spiritual understanding go to Vrndavana as tourists. One who goes to Vrndavana with such materialistic vision cannot derive any spiritual benefit. Such a person is not convinced that Krishna and Vrndavana are identical. Since they are identical, Vrndavana is as worshipable as Lord Krishna. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s vision (mora-mana—vrndavana) is different from the vision of an ordinary materialistic person. At the Ratha-yatra festival, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, absorbed in the ecstasy of Srimati Radharani, dragged Lord Krishna back to Vrndavana-dhama. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu spoke of this in the verses beginning ahus ca te (Madhya 13.136).

Indeed it is very important to reside in Shri Vrindavn Dhaam for a devotee of Bhagavan Shri Krishna as it is the place of his Lila. But for the devotee of advanced stage it doesn't matter whether it is Vrindavan or any other place, because she/he understands Bhagavan Shri Krishna's all pervading Par BrahM Svarup. Shri Krishna is Vasudev, residing every where - Sab Bhumi Gopal Ki, Ishavasyam Idam Sarvam...

1.Srila Prabhupada: “As Vrajendranandana Krishna is worshipable, His dham, Sri Vrindavan, is also worshipable. We should be very much respectful toward Vrindavan Dham. Otherwise, we will be offender, dham aparadha. If we remain here in Vrindavan, we should know that we are living with Krishna. How much we should be cautious, how much we should be careful, if we actually understand what is dham. Dham is also Krishna.
2.A spokesman for the Municipality eulogized Srila Prabhupada with this speech:
“O great soul! Today we, the inhabitants of Vrindaran, known as Brijbasis, all combinedly offer our humble welcome to Your Holiness, in this holy place of Vrindavan, and in doing so feel very proud … For many years you stayed at the Radha-Damodara temple, and worshiped Her Majesty Srimati Radharani in a meditative mood, and thus you now have the transcendental vision to deliver the entire world. As proof of your perfection, we can see this these foreign disciples before us, and we feel very proud to see how you have transformed them into such pure devotees. We take it for granted that you are one of us in Vrindavan. We are sure that wherever you travel, you must carry with you the impression of Sri Vrindavan Dham. The culture, religion, philosophy, and transcendental existence of Sri Vrindavan Dham travel with you. Through the great message Your Holiness carries, all the people of the world are now becoming very intimately related with Vrindavan Dham. We are certainly sure that through your preaching alone, the transcendental message of Vrindavan will spread all over the world.” (SPL V p. 20)
“If You actually live in Vrindavan carefully without committing any offense or sinful life, then in this life you are going to Krishna.” (72/48)
3.There has never been an acarya in our line that did not live in either Navadvipa, Jagannatha Puri or Vrindavan, and many performed devotional service in all three. Beginning with Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, all Gaudiya Vaisnava acaryas spent time in Vrindavan. In the holy dham they would circumambulate as did Lord Chaitanya, and do solitary bhajan, madhukari, writing, Deity worship and execute austerities. As a humble devotee of the disciplic succession, Srila Prabhupada settled in Vrindavan for a mendicant’s life of simplicity and surrender.
Its very important for a vaishnava to live in this dham.

same as you want to live with your husband for love if you treat your husband as the God or you want to live at your birth place for the love of Janambhoomi if you treat that place is the best place for you ie nothing is better than that for you. definetely you respect everybody and every person , but as husband no one is better than your husband because you treat him supereme as the God and you are devoted to Him.in the same way if any devotee think that vrindavan place is the best for them and no place is better than that for them because they love Lord Krishna so they want to experience the Lord there all the time , how Lord was lived there .............but it does not mean that everybody should love in the same way.also it does not mean vrindavan devotees are narrow minded. because it is their way to love for the God
