I'm 23 5'3 and would love to fit into my size 6 jeans again. Is it possible by New Year's? Has anyone lost that much weight in that amount of time?

Well, it's possible to lose 10 pounds in a month. You got 7 months. Start running.

I am by no means a diet & fitness expert...*sigh* I'd love to lose some weight too. I have all the head knowledge, just no motivation or energy. But in any case, your goal is extremely possible. There are 7 full months left until New Years, roughly 30 weeks. If you lost just 2.5 lbs each week (a realistic goal), you will lose 75 lbs. And, since you have so much weight to lose, you could very easily lose more than the 2.5 lbs/week. I wish you all the best determination and endurance.

My sister lost 76 pounds in just over six months and she looks great. She used the help of a nutritonist who advised her on what to use and what sorts of things to eat. He made sure she lost weight safely and regularly and I know she really trusted his advice. The place she got in touch with him was www.myhealthabc.com, he also showed her how to keep the weight off and she has done so for the last four months with no problems. I also used his services and I lost twenty pounds in seven weeks by following his advice. The guy is great and I would highly recommend him. I am sure he can help you, good luck.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
