Yet another one of those, "I know you don't believe, but WHAT IF?" questions from the mindless sheep.
Why atheists? Buddhists don't believe in Christian concepts of heaven and hell, so why not lump them in as well? Muslims, Hindus, Wiccans, Taoists, and all the rest? Or does your God teach you to segregate your hatred?
What if, when YOU die, your consciousness simply goes into the universe waiting to be reborn? What if we're all just recycled energy and your God was just an illusion, and you realize you've wasted your life following a fairytale?
When you Christians can come up with something more original than Pacal's Wager and the What If game, and answer questions WITHOUT attempting to pass bible scripture off as your own opinion, then we might have a decent discussion.

Well this is one big IF but at least they won't be in heaven worshipping a megalomaniacle God who has one hell of a personality disorder.
What makes you think only Christians will be in Heaven? I'm sure Atheists have belittle more than just Christians.

I don't put down Christians, I debate their beliefs without showing any disrespect or offending them. Well, at least the best I can, some of them are too sensitive about Atheist beleifs and become easily offended. Thats when it becomes their problem, not mine.

Why would it matter? If we don't believe in God, it is a moot point to dwell on "if" there is anything.
I think it is more fun to think "what if" aliens were real and I got abducted? I think it would be cool to experience that. After all, there is more proof that there are aliens than there is a God, and they don't need the BOOK to tell all...

well for one, all the christians ive bashed have deserved it. i dont insult people unless they insult me or are arrogant. and when i die there isnt a hell or a god so i will have literally nothing to say because i cannot talk, or think even. you know why? because I'm dead

hhmm I would say "screw you god" and then go to hell with the devil and make a deal with him that if he lets me go back to earth I would go and capture inocent human souls for him! I would basically become his right hand man..
Yeah of course I don't believe this will happen because I am aWiccan and I believe that the devil isn't real but hey it was fun to think about *2 points*

From what I hear, most of the christians will be busy trying to extract pitchforks from their butts.
So I won't be afraid of them or their god in the hereafter, just as I'm not afraid of either of them in the here-and-now.
Thing is, they seriously _expect_ me to be afraid. What does that say about their religion and its supposed benefits to mankind?

I would admit to surprise at an afterlife but then grin as I see god loves decent rational intelligent people! All those saps that believed the phoney book are dead. What a barrel!
