I just read where the illegal immigrants having no problems with the idea of paying 5000 dollars to stay here but dont want to go back.From what I read a most are saying its just a drop in the bucket.I am a diabled vet that lives on 1100 a month between VA and social security disability and worry daily if I will eat tomorrow.What is wrong with this picture???

Sorry John, but those politicians really need those minority votes. They will flush you, me, and our patriotism down the toilet to get them. They don't give a damn about anything except getting power.

I do not know many illegals who have 5 grand just laying around. Many people falsify the conditions of illegals yes some might be living in a nicer area but it tends to be 20 people to a 3 bedroom town home. Don't listen to the jokers most illegals lives and financial situation is still very dire.

the $5000 is over a two year period from my understanding. That is about $210 a month not that bad. I dont know many working class people that think thats a drop in the bucket. But it is do able and I believe a fair penalty for breaking our laws and being a drain on our system for years.

You got it friend....I know some of them that came here, didn't bother to become legal citizens, and have million dollar homes and three or four businesses here...and there you sit...I am so sorry.,...but join the legal American bandwagon blues....my bro is sitting now, put from a job earning 23.oo an hour replaced by an illegal alien making half that much, to do a half arsed job of construction...go figure

Many of them do have five grand and more because they scrimped and saved by living in conditions most of us would never tolorate.
You have to remember, that is pretty much what they pay a smuggler to get here in the first place. They borrow it from a family member who had it saved up and then they have to pay it back. So yes, they have the ability to save thousands. But to see how they live to get that money....I think I would rather not have the money.

You trusted too much in social security. You were supposed to save your money, or open a bussines to sustain yourself in your golden years instead of leaving everything to the government. Now let me tell you SS is an issue that is not blame to the illegals for it. It has to deal with government misuse of the funds. So stop blaming the illegals for it.

A lot is wrong with this picture. I say control the illegals by taxing them a straight 40% income tax for ten years and if they succeed, they can become full citizens. Meanwhile, regular citizens receive 50% tax breaks and everyone is happy.
