A classmate of mine just died a few days ago in a car accident he was a senior in high school & suppost to be graduating in a few weeks & its got me thinking about my life & how many things im taking for granted & how easily that could have been me & how i need to start speaking up for the things i want, & i have this really good friend pete who i've had feelings for for about a year, we're sort of best friends...& everytime im with him i always wanna say how i feel but dont, even though the oppurtunity always comes up...Should I just tell him? Or am i just shocked about my classmate & ill end up regretting it? Should I just go for it? I mean how do i know how much time we have left, the boy who died probally thought he had forever & he didnt.

You don't want to live your life thinking everyday will be your last! That is the grief talking. Life is precious and you SHOULD cherish it but you will make alot of mistakes if you don't think about the future.
As for Pete? That IS something you should do! The only regrets in life are the chances you don't take.
If he is your best friend, then that would make for the basis of a great relationship. If he doesn't feel the same way, he should understand and things will go back to normal. If he does feel the same way, you have what you want.
Sorry to hear about your classmate! If you feeling afraid or depressed, talk to someone (professional or maybe Pete).

I'm sorry to hear your classmate passed. but you wouldn't be thinking these things if there wasn't a reason. I think you should tell him and have an open conversation in case he doesn't like you so it won't be awkward and you guys can still be friends. your right you never know how long you'll live so try to live without regrets and do something good with the time you have.
Best wishes
this a time of search your soul and figure out what you can live with and without doing.

I've been out of high school for 10 years and now im back in college, and if theres one thing i've learned over the years is that time is fleeting. You never know when it will end. I cant count how many friends i've lost over the years. Tell your friend how you feel....worse comes to worse he dont feel the same and you move on...but at least youll know

I fyou have been friends for a long time and he seems to enjoy your company just as much as your do, he might be feeeling the same way.
I think I would let him know I really like him and respect him alot. give him a kiss (cheek)and a hug.. and see where it goes.
Ask him if he'd like to go to a show with you, like a date...
He will tell you straight out how he feels....

Tell Pete. The sudden death of a friend can make us realize what is important, go for it, you only live once.

maybe this is your turning point and you do need to tell this guy how you feel. Maybe it took for this boy to die for you to really take a good look at yourself so go for it girl and dont put things off.
