Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Purple Haze, Pete's Wicked Strawberry Blonde, Carolina Blonde, Blue Moon, there's a few--most come from microbreweries....don't worry, there is life beyond Bud Light! (and a better one, at that!)

First of all, drop the Bud Light right now. That's not beer, it's p*ss water.
If you want a good beer brewed in the US (as opposed to an "American" beer which could include any beer brewed in North America) try one of the following:
Sam Adams Boston Lager
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Brooklyn Lager
Trust me, you'll never want to drink Bud again.

Depends on what type of beer I am in the mood for, If I want a beer with a strong taste of hops, then Arrogant Bastard or Ruination from Stone Brewery in San Diego or even Sam Addams, If I am in the mood for a smooth light tasting beer then a good wheat beer is in order like Boulvard Wheat or Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat, and of course you can't beat a good Bock either like Leinenkugel Big Butt or Shiner Bock. Experiment a little and find the beers you like, some basic categories of beer are Pilsners, Lagers, Marzens, Weiss, Bocks, Stouts and Ales, each type have their own characteristics and flavors.

I like bud light. But, for something a little different I enjoy Blue Moon with a slice of orange. Bass is also good. I also enjoy Fat Tire. It is only sold in about a dozen states and is made in Fort Collins, Colorado. It is one of my favorites. Worth the road trip to buy it. Check out their website to see if they sell it in your state. It is www.fattirebeer.com. Also, check with a local liquor store, some places have beer tasting once every few months. That's a good way to find something new.
