No way is that child abuse.. at least if the child wants it. Where as I couldnt see a parent forcing their child to get their tongue peirced. I see plenty of places that will peirce anyone under 18 just about anywhere they want as long as they are accompanied by a parent or gaurdian.

I see babies with their ears pierced all of the time I feel like crying "Child abuse", simply because the baby has no say in the matter. A 13 year old a least can ask for a piercing and understand the ramifications of getting one to some extent. And can refuse to have one if they don't want it.

If the 13 year old wants a tongue piercing and it isn't being forced on them, and it's being done by a professional, then I don't consider that child abuse.

No because it's the thirteen year olds choice, even though it's a bit young to get a tongue pierced. Child abuse is constant, all this is like is going to the doctor and getting a vacination with a little boo boo.

Not abuse as such, but not good parenting. I saw a 7 year old boy in the store yesterday with both ears pierced with diamond studs. Of course, for all I know he could be transgendered. I'd never let any age child get his or her tongue pierced--it's simply self-mutilation and unhealthy.

why would you want your child at 13 have peircings other than the ears maybe. They grow up fast enough don't push them. You going to let them drive a car now cause they want too? There has to be limits and parents are who should give them.

No not child abuse, but maybe they should wait a few more years to get it done. Good luck finding a professional that will pierce a child that young, parental permission or not

Not really, but then why do they have parents? Parents should be better than be so permissive and put the child in health risk, if really want it could wait at least until is 18yr. Is cool when parents understand new trends and respect children personalities, but there's a limit. This is one, over the limit.

It mostly depends, if the 13 yr old wanted it than it could be considered ok, but if they didn't want it than yes it would be child abuse

most places dont pierce under the age of 17. Law. Not sure about the child abuse though if it is a at home thing. which I hope not since it could be dangerous.

Ummmm No - a peircing child abuse????? If the kid didnt want it it would be odd but I am guessing the person who did it wouldnt do it w a kid in the chair screaming about it.
