Eating fewer than 1000 calories a day, sometimes less than 500. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day, and doing an hour of things like stretching, jumping, and sit-ups at least one day a week. Never eating things like cheeseburgers and fries, but rather oatmeal, cereal, fruit, etc.
What will happen if I follow this plan?

you will lose water weight and muscle not fat and slow down your metabolism dramatically which will make fat loss in future soooo much harder. also you will gain back more than lost as soon as start eating normal again.
body needs 50cal/hour just for functioning (like when you are in coma) and thats 1200cal/day. and this is for a person under 150lbs.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I did a diet very similar to this and I lost over 85 lbs in one year... HOWEVER, as soon as I went back to eating normal, I got FATTER!!! The best way to lose weight is to slowly lose it. Find a diet that you can follow even after you lose the weight... this way you'll be able to keep the excess weight off. Good Luck! :)
P.S. I followed this book last time and it helped wonders!!!! It's called The Low-Carb Bible.... its a cook book with other interesting facts and all sorts of different diet to try. It also has calorie, carb fiber, protein, total fat, and sat fat break downs for just about every food you can think of!!! You can go to this site to learn more or purchase it : www.amazon. com
Good Luck;)

Your not getting anywhere near enough calories. You'll need about 1800 - 2000 calories for weight loss. By starving your body you send it into a sort of survival mode. It stores the fat and takes enrgy from other sources such as muscle. So in a sense you'll get fatter. Just eat healthily get the right amount of calories and dont forget to eat meat, fish, veggies, pasta, potatoes, nuts, seeds, EGGS!!!! and make sur eyou do some exercise at leat 3 times a week. :)

You will probably lose weight but you will probably also feel tired. You need some protein in there - to build up those muscles that your're using. Choose chicken, fish, or low fat cheese and peanut butter and your diet will kick ***. (or should I say fat).
Don't go so low on the calories tho' - that puts your body into starvation mode, and it won't shed any fat for fear it won't eat again. Kudos for avoiding the cheeseburgers and fries! Good luck with the diet. Let us all know how you're doing with it.

You need atleast 1200 calories per day. You'll lose more weight by eating more. Its counter intuitive but our body slows down the metabolism if you get fewer than 1200 calories a day. That makes it hard to lose the amount of weight you'd like to.
Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.

You need to eat enough to at least partially fill yourself up... (I would say eat no more than 1500 calories a day and no less than 700.) But I think that if you do the stretching and excersizes more than once a week it is a good plan. I would say at least three times a week, but every day is better. At least to crunches every night before you go to bed.

You will lose muscle. No-one should eat as little as you are. See a nutritionist. It's good not to eat junk food but if you don't eat enough food period you are starving the body. The weight you lose won't be just fat and you are more likely to gain it all back.

I think you'll end up feeling kind of sick, and weak if you only eat 500 calories a day
