Whoopis - Dasies ... ment to stick this in law ...

this is just as good a place, because religion will have a thing to say about it.

But yes. If the crime was bad enough, then life with out parole is needed. If a kid kills his/her family and is 16. I would say that something so wrong happend in his/her life that he/she would never be able to adjust to the needs of a normal society.

Hope this helps,

peace

It depends on the crime.

I don't think its ethical if we're talking second degree murder or if the circumstances surrounding the murder were "understandable". I think the mental state of the 16 year old should be taken into account.

However, if a 16 year plans and premeditates the death of another human being -- and especially if their death was especially gruesome -- then they should be tried as an adult and given the same kind of sentence.

It would make complete sense if he brutally murdered your 16 year-old son or daughter. Sorry about the temporary cop mind-set here.

Depends on the crime committed and their cognitive abilities to understand the nature of what they have done.

What have they done and why have they done it???

I would of thought some sort of rehabilitation would be more appropriate for someone so young.
Or maybe psychiatric care??
