Use a nice, thick layer of shaving cream. I also find using moisterizer to shave works better for me. To get rid of it, use Tend Skin liquid. You can get it at Sephora. Its 20$ but its soooooooo worth it believe me, I bought mine last April and I still have a little bit (and no razor burn...)

1) Always use a sharp razor - change it every 5 - 7 shaves - more frequently if nec.
2) Use a good fragrance free shaving gel. ex) Aveeno, Neutrogena for Men, Excel for sensitive skin
3) Shave after you've been in the shower for 3-5 minutes.
4) Apply witch hazel or aloe vera gel after drying off.
5) Moisturize your legs w/ a light, fragrance-free lotion.

Buy a good-quality razor! I keep up my Brazilian bikini wax at home, and I know from razor burn, believe me!
There are shaving gels and moisturizers out there that are good, but your best bet is a high-quality razor.

You can use a product with Salicylic Acid as the Active ingredient (such as Neutrogena products). I've found that these products really work to stop the razor bumps from coming up. Use it at most once a day though cause it can irritate your skin.

Use good shaving gel and a sharp razor. Dry shaving is the worst.

I bought some NADS products for my husband. One to exfoliate before shaving and again after and then a balm to help soothe.
I would exfoliate before and after shaving and again next shower if you are not shaving again. And give yourself a break, anytime you dont need to shave, give it a miss.
You can pick up exfoliants very cheaply. they have little micro beads in. it kind of feels like sand on your skin, but not unpleasant at all.
Hope this helps :)
