My two senators in Georgia, both Republicans, are standing with this possible legislation. They WILL NOT get my vote next election cycle if they follow through with their support. I'm quite sure many of my fellow constituents will feel the same way.

I wonder this though. How many Democrats in Mass. that are against this proposed legislation will do the same against Teddy Kennedy, one of the authors of this proposal? How about the Dems in Nevada against Reid? How about when it goes through the House. We all know Pelosi is for open borders. Will Dems hold her accountable?

One thing I forgot to say. If many of you know what some of this proposed bill entails, does the federal government have the competancy to run this thing?
Given the amount of fraud the illegals already engage in and get away with, I think not.

You obviously haven't heard about Pelosi's buisness dealings have you? Her hotels? Her restauraunts? She's loves to hire illegals.

MOSI
My question deals more with a unifying factor for Americans. Keep on with that devide and conquer attitude. Besides, I know plenty of dems that hire illegals as well. So there.

maximum mavens agree that this bill could decrease unlawful immigration by using no greater desirable than 18%. This bill makes individuals pay lots for little or no. additionally, the latest figures appropriate to the tax advantages of unlawful extraterrestrial beings point out that the only advantageous earnings is on the federal point. State and native governments are dropping badly with the greater desirable economic burden being place on colleges and centers. I despatched emails to the idiots representing my state and district. besides the undeniable fact that, i think that writing your Senator or representative is like attempting to instruct a pig to sing. It wastes a while and it annoys the pig.

That is exactly how you do it. You flood their email inboxes with emails addressing your concerns, that they are not true conservatives. And if you live in a state that has Democratic representation, you still email them. You the people still have a voice. It is a small whisper against a scream, but if all of us that feel this strongly about it push this issue, then we can make a difference. The same way we made a difference in the Dubai ports deal. The time to act is now. And her is where you do it.

Politicians are running scared of loosing votes. It may seem like you are against helping human beings in need if you vote against amnesty. By allowing people to come in unexamined , we are exposing our citizens to health risks and who knows what crime risks. It is unfair to the illegals to allow them to get here. They should be stopped at the border, and the countries from which they come should improve life so their citizens will be happy there.

There is no honor and no courage in bigotry. Bigots were keen on tolerating U.S. businesses criminally importing illegal workers for generations. Where's all their "tolerance" now? They were enormously ignorant and easily fooled by Republicans. Now that the Republicans are in the White House, their plans for continued cheap labor and the means by which to avoid paying U.S. workers a legal and decent wage is coming to fruition. And, all thanks to the ignorance and character diseases of bigots. Now, bigots, lacking any decent character or intelligence whatsoever beyond your basic kneejerk, CONTINUE to play right into the hands of Republicans by blaming the imported illegal workers rather than the Republicans behind the North American Union and this plot to "equalize" / reduce the U.S. worker's wage.

One thing I learned about propaganda and politics is, you can always count on a bigot to swallow hook - line - and - sinker whatever some lowlife politician is saying to appeal to people's basest instincts . . their intolerance, their fears, their racism, their weaknesses and other such diseases of character and the human spirit. Bigots seldom actually come to the aid of their country. Scratch a bigot and reveal the coward. But, this most certainly is the time for ALL decent citizens and workers in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico to unite in order to have the clout to stand up to these guys, to be represented in how N.A.F.T.A. gets modified, and to protect worker's rights and our quickly eroding standard of living. The gap between the haves and have nots is widening at an astounding rate since N.A.F.T.A. Soon, the "average" person will no longer have any rights at all . . .will probably not even believe that any workers' rights ever existed. Only 12% of U.S. workers belong to unions. That has to change or we are all going to be making a buck an hour. Please keep in mind, Republicans are never FOR unions or workers. Bush and his party of goons mean us all harm. To think for a moment that they are the "good guys" in this matter is ignorance on a cosmic level.

The U.S. prostituted it's self out to become the leader of the "New World Order" - by sending jobs overseas and strengthening the countries that always end up turning on us (like the new British government) - So, in order to compete with India, Taiwan, China, and all the others - we have to accept slave wages that only the illegal immigrants are willing to take - in order to compete with this "new world economy" that we manufactured. Remember " When you hold up your middle finger at someone - there are always four fingers pointing back at you!".

i don't support it,but you bring up an interesting proposal. Americans working together. that seems strange coming from one that bashes their fellow Americans and even bashes a dem in their question. that is the exact reason nothing will change, too much fighting amongst ourselves. i guess i will voice my opinion on my own, since Americans can't seem to work together.

Illegal Immigration is a Threat to the American Way of Life Today our great American nation is being invaded by millions of illegal immigrants who are fundamentally changing American society. Notably, a massive influx of illegal immigrants from Mexico is changing the face of the American Southwest.
For most Mexicans, the motivations for this migration are pure - to secure a better life in a better place. However, not only is this illegal immigration illegal to begin with, it is also precipitating a host of problems for the United States of America. This influx is bankrupting state and local governments, hospitals, school districts, prisons, and social services across the Southwest. The influx is also fueling a wide range of criminal activities in the United States, from the simple, such as the hiring of illegal aliens by American companies, to the serious, such as drug running, human trafficking, organized criminal activity, gang activity, weapons violations, burglaries, auto thefts, etc., etc. In addition, terrorists from overseas nations could gain entry to the United States through our porous borders.

Long-term prospects are even bleaker, considering that massive long-term illegal immigration will eventually and effectively result in occupation and takeover. Ultimately in the future, the American Southwest, and possibly other areas, might be considered "American" in name only. In fact, there is an organization, based in Whittier, California if you can believe it, whose stated goal is the return of Aztlan to Mexico, their name for the region colonized by the USA after the Mexican-American war, which consists of Texas, New Mexico, California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and parts of Oklahoma.
Yet, the Bush Administration does little. To our disbelief, George W. Bush is considering an even grander amnesty plan for illegal immigrants than was realized in the 1980s under Reagan.
Here at American Defense Forces we like the Mexican people. Overall, we know Mexicans to be friendly, religious, hardworking and family oriented, though some are involved in various illegal activities besides illegal entry. Moreover, it's not that we don't want any Mexican nationals in the United States. But we would like to see controlled immigration and all foreign nationals in the United States identified and documented for security and economic (taxation, etc.) reasons.

Theodore Roosevelt on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN
"In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."
- Theodore Roosevelt, 1919, in a letter to the president of the American Defense Society.

We must fight, the time for talk has ended, the time for war has arrived, we as Americans must stand together, take up arms and declare a revolution against this attack on our democracy, if its war then lets give it to them!

At first I wasn't but the more I think about it...(and see my question on this and comments)...When the illegals become equal to Americans here, and no longer are considered 'bargain help'...are employers going back to hiring white guys and gals? I think this is going to be a rude awakening for illegals,...because they will no longer be a comodity for crooked employers to use...or slum lords, to use. to save money, because they 'have no legal rights'...this is going to backfire on illegals.
