I started birth control for the first time a month ago. This is the first period I have had while I am on the pill. I was on my period for 3 to 4 days before one day I used the bathroom and at the end of peeing it hurt really bad after that a little blood dripped out. It wasn’t dark. Each day the pain gets less but I think I am seeing more blood. I’m scared I don’t want to tell me mom just yet.

My sister just had this. She went to the hospital because she was so worried and found that is was a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) it could also be a kidney infection. Some women are prone to UTI's when taking the pill. I was. I would get them constantly but not to the point of bleeding. If you are peeing blood that is serious and should be looked at. UTI's do not go away by themselves and can cause damage to your bladder and kidneys. Let you mom know she will understand if she is a woman. But make sure that you are peeing blood and its not breakthrough bleeding from the pill. Sometimes its hard to tell.

Ignorance is NOT bliss!! You definitely need to see the doctor as soon as possible! It could easily be something as simple as a urinary tract infection-but could also be other things as well, like a std, kidney stone, etc. Best thing to do is catch it early so that it can be fixed easily. Blood in your urine is not always visible, so don't think it's gone if you don't see it until you have been to the doctor. Delaying things can make the outcome much worse than it might be otherwise. You need to go to the doctor and make a check for your kidneys, first of all, because you could get a cold and usually when you have blood in your urine, the problem is with the kidneys!
But there is another thing, if you have sex-life, you need to take care of not getting any sexual disease or infection! Also you need to go to the doctor for this issue! No need, to be worried, but I think that the best person with whom you have to talk is your mother, because trust me she will know what to tell you!

You really need to follow up with your Dr. because blood in the urine is a sign that something is wrong. You may just have a bladder infection, but you need to follow up with the Dr. (The hormone level of the pill may be too much for your body and you may need another dosage)
Good Luck & Take Care~

You may have an infection of some sort. Urinary tract...etc. At any rate any blood in the urine should be checked out by a doctor. Good luck.

It sounds like you may have a urine track infection, you really need to tell your mom and go see your doctor, may need to change your birth control pills, if it is a urine track infection he can give you some meds and clear it right up, hope this helps you!

It sounds like you have a bladder infection, which has nothing to do with your period or the birth control. Tell your mother. It is important for you to see a doctor and get on antibiotics for the bladder infection.

I would see my doctor: Most young people are into sports now and are very active but, this doesn't allow for much blood in the urine and a doctor would want to check to see what's going on. It would be best to have this checked.

You have a bladder infection. It has nothing to do with birth control. Tell your Mom, she will have NO reason to get upset. It can be caused by many things. It will only get worse. Drink cranberry juice, it is guaranteed to help!!! Don't drink cokes, they cause the infection.
