If you can figure out what is triggering the headaches (certain food? dust/pollen? alcohol?) then you can just avoid those things. If you have tension headaches, massage and stretching work wonders. Some people seek acupuncture. The options start running thin after this. Maybe you can talk to your doctor and find a different anti-inflammatory med that can be taken along with a headache med without any interference.

Many headaches start in you neck. If your neck is stiff, even a little, this may be your case. Have you cut any thing out of your life? Caffenne, cigs, medicine? Increase in stress? Tooth problems? Ear problems?

Massage on you head, neck or whole body may be a bennefit and great stress relief.

Be careful, if it is a pinched nerve or vertebrae stretching can make it worse. If you stretch, keep it to a minimum. Only stretch to a point of feeling a slight increase in discomfort. Check out some neck stretching activities on the web or Doctor if you can.

Try this for immediate temporary relief.

Shower with the warm/ hot water hitting on your neck for as long as you can.

Rotate hot water bottle then ice pack for 5 to 7 min each. Try to stay away from heating pads they dry out your muscles.

or even better

You can either cut down a towel or use a hand or dish towel. sew the three sides like your making a pillow, put inside long grain rice as a filler. Only enough to fill 1/4 to1/3 (or more if you'd like) of the inside. Finish sewing up. Now you can either place in the freezer for 20-30 min + or stick it in the microwave for seconds to minutes until the temp you want. The rice bag will hold the temp for quite a while and will mold around your body. Great for any pain or discomfort and will last forever as long as you don't get it wet. Hang in there and good Luck!!!

Like you I used to suffer from frequent severe headaches. I got an email about 2 years ago that said to take Vitamin B. Since then I have taken a B complex every morning. I ran out once and within two days the headaches were back. It may take a week or two to start working but if I were a betting woman, I bet you will see tremendous relief from it.

Vervain tea will help and it won't interfere with any inflammatory meds. Migraines come cause there's a lack of oxygen getting to the brain and Vervain will help increase the
oxygen going to the brain. It might be your meds causing you the migraines in which case I would suggest you go the herbal method to counteract inflammation. The herbal answer
is Pau Darco herb! Don't take Pau Darco tea if you stay on anti-inflammatory meds cause that be what they call double doseing from taking 2 different things that do the same thing!
Herbs really work.. don't listen to the jerks that call them placebos cause they aren't placebos! herbs work for me. they worked even before I had any belief in herbal healing!
U might try an essential oils treatment instead.. either Tea tree or Peppermint on your forehead area and a dab in your ears too! but that is the more expensive way of healing!

Have you checked to see what is causing the headaches? Sometimes anti-inflammatory medications can cause headaches. Tylenol can also cause headaches! All kinds of things can cause them. If you can find out the cause you can treat them more effectively.
You may want to consult with your physician to see if there is a possible medication conflict.
In the meantime, try to relax - do some neck rolls, deep breathing, that kind of thing.

there is an american indian tale that if you taken a flat rock no bigger than 3 inches long or wide, like you the ones you would skip rocks with on water, and put it in the freezer for 1 hour and place it on the bottom of your heal.use tape or fingers to keep it there. DO NOT WALK ON YOUR FOOT WHILE DOING THIS!!!! very painful if you ask me. no longer than 30 mins and it should ease the pain because your feet are a pressure point good luck cause i've used it and it works very well.

A friend of mine recently told me that she was having terrible headaches... so bad that nothing she took worked. She finally broke down and tried what very few people believe in. Pressure points!!! It really does work! Put pressure on the nerve between your thumb and your index finger on your left hand. Hold it, hold it, hold it......... headache gone!!! Try it! For real! I did!

Not sure if this works, but I read a article from Martha Stewart, she mentioned cutting a lime in half and rubbing it on your forehead. Yea I think it sounds crazy but the cost is simple and it may be worth a go.

why not have your eyes and blood pressure checked? something has to be the cause of your headaches. Also check your eating and sleeping habits these are common causes if you don't get enough sleep and eat regular meals.
