We Fought For Freedom Once
WE CAN DO IT AGAIN!
Who Thought This Time We Would Be Fighting A Texan Not The Brits
Bush is using the threat of terrorism to take away our rights
We now live in a country where you can be arrested but not told why
We now live in a country where the FBI kidnaps people
We now live in a country where your hospital records can be searched
We now live in a country where laws Bush dislikes are not enforced
We now live in a country where torture is now legal
We now live in a country where the Attorney General's slogan is:
One nation under surveillance!

Fellow citizen of the formerly free US of A, we have not been "free" for over 100 years and almost nobody realizes it. We are not captive of a shaky government. We are captives of a very strong government, complete with a standing army the founding fathers never meant for it to have. But, what is worse, is that this government is captive to an even stronger economic force beyond our borders. Sadly, we are no longer a sovereign nation.

Free? Our government expands government services continually and we have no power to reign them in-we just pay! Voting is a joke anymore. The difference between the Democratic (Socialist Party) and the Republican party (well on it's way to becoming a Socialist Party) is minimal. Our government is VERY shaky because it's spending it's way into bankrupcy.

The facts of life today support your belief that we AMERICANS are less free. Who sold us out to a totalitarian controlled economy like The People's Republic of China? Did we vote for that? Whose thumb are we under? Are we prepared to handle the problems of a population increase to over 300,000,000? All electoral offices should be won by a majority vote. Bring industry back to America. Hold Town Hall meetings 2 hours a week in all communities to discuss openly all issues that impact upon us.

individually and collectively our world is shaped by rules designed to protect less advantaged, or enhance those already blessed. Of the choices posed in your question, I vote we are captives. As a free people we never would have done this to ourselves or our children, let alone to strangers we never met in foreign lands.
Laissez-faire trumps.

I totally agree with you I keep hearing people say that the democrats want too much government, well isn't that what we have under the republicans? They are gradually taking away our rights, making it harder to survive financially, taking the funding to educate the children. It seems they want us ignorant and poor so corporate america can control us.

Yes we are still free--at least for the meantime. We have responsibilities and inconveniences but for the time we are free.
