I'm looking at a mini-crib to go with our mine-home, but am concerned it won't last until baby's ready to go to a toddler bed. So, was your child 6, months, 9 months, 1 year? I just can't remember what's average. Thanks in advance.

It really does depend on the child. I worked at a daycare with 1 year olds. Most of them were about 15 to 25 pounds. One of our babies was 9 months and 35 pounds though, so remember, it totally depends!

My son will be 3 in July and weighs 26 pounds. Every kid is different. My niece is 2 months younger than my son and she weighs 37 so it just depends on the kid. My husbands family is very skinny and my son eats all the time... my sons dr. said not to worry as long as he's eating!

A baby should sleep in a crib until he/she is near or at 4 yrs old. Just learned this a month ago.
