I have a huge bump-like thing on the back of my tongue that sticks clear up. It is like the size of a marble. It is very painful tp even swallow and it is unbearable to touch. What could it be and how can I get rid of it?

I have gotten things like this before just not this big, or painful. They get there in just a matter of hours.

it sounds like a cyst and you probably need antibiotics at the very least, if not actual surgical intervention.

This sounds like something I have had some years back. I had the same symptoms as you and first I couldn't swallow food, then it got to where I couldn't even swallow water. The bump is called a pus pocket I believe and it needs to be drained and you also may need to have water pumped into you through an IV. I suggest you see a doctor immediately about this so you can get this taken care of and you can properly eat and drink or else you may become too dehydrated and maybe ill from lack of nutrients. Good luck but definetly see a doctor right away. It may be something totally different and it would be best to see the doc. as he will better be able to diagnose it.

Chance are its something easy to treat- please see a doctor and get it looked it. If its part of an infection, you dont want it to get worse.
