Some people think that the creation/formation of a baby in the mothers womb "just happens". Think about it........ perfect babies (and I know there are some "unperfect" babies but they are still babies) born every second. Look at it this way:
Take a cake mix and throw it into a bowl
Add eggs, water and oil
Then wait for it to make itself - ain't gonna happen
That is about as rediculous as someone thinking that a creator didn't have anything to do with creation. What are your thoughts? How does a perfect baby just happen when a sperm and egg come together? It is, in my opinion, a miracle.

DEFINITION OF BIOLOGY:
The science of life and of living organisms, including their structure, function, growth, origin, evolution, and distribution. The life processes or characteristic phenomena of a group or category of living organisms
DEFINITION OF SCIENCE:
The observation, identification, description, experimental investigation, and theoretical explanation of phenomena. Such activities restricted to a class of natural phenomena.
DEFINITION OF PHENOMINA:
Biology is described as a phenomina which means that which strikes one as strange, unusual, or unaccountable; an extraordinary or very remarkable person, thing, or occurrence
All I am saying is that I believe God and only God Creates life. God is biology. God is the phenomina. Our bodies didn't just happen because it was a coincidince that cells fell into place -Just like it isn't likely that a cake knows how to fall into place and make itself.

Woah, honey you need to study basic human biology and genetics.
When the sperm and egg merge to form a little single-celled organism called a zygote, which consists of the 23 chromosomes from the man's sperm and the 23 chromosomes from the female's egg. These chromosomes will determine the baby's hair color, eye color and whether the baby will be a boy or a girl. Soon after fertilization, the zygote makes the trip through the fallopian tubes to the uterus. During this journey, the zygote divides. Within 72 hours, it will have gone from one cell to eight cells. This little ball of cells divides until it contains about 100 cells. Then it becomes known as a blastocyst. The inner group of cells will form the embryo. The outer group of cells forms the placenta, which will provide nourishment. Three weeks into the pregnancy, the blastocyst implants itself into the mother's uterine wall and releases hCG. This occurs only a few days after conception.

As a baker I get it if you leave the batter sitting you have goo. If you cook it you have cake....
I do get the science aspect of this question....
As a mother I am in awe of not how the child physically grows, but where the soul and spirit of the child came from. Sure there is science that could clone an animal and possibly a human, but there is not a human alive that can give that being a soul. To me there is the miracle that initial spark of life. The soul that makes us who we are. Can science explain the soul? Psychology may be able to explain the personality, but not the essence of life.
Life is a sacred miracle.
Peace be with you.

Even scientifically with a sperm and an egg, the creation of a baby in the womb doesn't just "happen." It may appear simple but anyone who's ever had to go to a fertility specialist to get pregnant can tell you it's quite complicated. I agree, it is a miracle but your cake analogy is rather ridiculous.

I fully agree with you that birth is Gods miracle, and how far down the road of taking this miracle for granted has the world gone when life is like a commodity today for so many people around the world and babies are plundered in the womb.
The great deception of satan is that life is cheap and without nobility or real worth, and so millions die every year and the silence is deafening.

There are perfect babies?
Funny, I have never heard that one before. A seemingly "perfect" baby may well have a genetic disorder that will kick in during adulthood. A seemingly "perfect" baby may have a seemingly harmless gene that would be lethal if passed on to another generation. Perfect babies? The last time a society talked openly about perfect babies, the world went to war to remove that regime from power.
Natural selection is not at all about perfection. Natural selection is about what works and what doesn't work as well.
This is a much simpler explanation for what you describe as "perfect" and "unperfect" babies being born every second.

Hmmm...what did that guy say about human biology?
There was a big bang and all of a sudden a human happened, this human was a male and what wa coinkidinki!!! There is a female too.
Even more...they make babies and they have feelings, a brain and can think, a entire body of organs that work perfectly, they walk and talk and understand each other, they eat and digest and let it out and they have emotions and can have babies because their body parts fit perfectly, they breathe oxygen an thats exactly what we have here on earth and oh ya earth happened too and gravity.
Such big coincidences.
And none of this took any thought right?
Now its your turn to think.

By saying the words "just happens" you're telling us:
* You don't understand nature
* You'd like to keep it this way
* Since the only other explanation you can think of is a god
* Specifically your god.
Posting a science question in the religion and spirituality section often means the asker does not really want an answer. His goal is to ask a question that he believes proves some scientific knowledge to be wrong, or that science does not yet answer, and make the implicit claim that the only other explanation is a god, and specifically, the same god he happens to believe in.
It's the "god of the gaps" - intellectually bankrupt, since it favors ignorance instead of knowledge, and because of the contained logical fallacy.

I agree. All life comes from God. Even satan was created by God. Its not just a clump of cells, its a human being, from start to finish, God given life. A true miracle. There are just to many unexplainable creations to ignore. I for one cannot believe it all happened by chance, a big bang or lightening striking a scummy pond. And if it did happen that way, I still believe God did it that way!!

What I think is amazing is how in nine short months you have all of those different systems made up of different types of cells all working together to support the life of this beautiful new gift.

Sorry but you may see it as negative but that is because you are being narrow minded. Chance Likely is absolutely correct. You don't understand human biology and that does not mean a human concept did it.
You have to show proof of your statement before it becomes true.
