I know everyone has different view points when it comes to religion. But why can't we all just agree to disagree? Degrading someone over the internet is not a very good way to push your beliefs on them and judging someone isn't very nice to begin with. If someone is Atheist, then that's their choice, not yours! If someone is Christian, again that's their choice. We all have to live with our own choices! Clumping people into groups is just awful. Everyone in each religion has different extremes but they are entitled to their opinion and choice. I have no problem listening to others beliefs because it gives me some thing to think about. Putting others down is wrong and I think everyone, no matter what their beliefs, can agree with that...just a thought.

your answers so far are very interesting. my intentions are not to offend anyone so please don't take this the wrong way. I am very open minded. I have my beliefs but I choose not to push them on anyone. I have friends of all different backgrounds but I don't judge them based on that.

btw. I am not naive. I know what I am saying and I know that this will never happen. I just wanted to see what kind of reactions I would get.

Respect for and development of human life require peace. Peace is not merely the absence of war, and it is not limited to maintaining a balance of powers between adversaries. Peace cannot be attained on earth without safeguarding the goods of persons, free communication among men, respect for the dignity of persons and peoples, and the assiduous practice of fraternity. Peace is "the tranquillity of order." Peace is the work of justice and the effect of charity.

"Agreeing to disagree" is throwing away "Respect", "Free Communication", "Dignity of people", and doesn't allow us to learn to work towards practicing fraternity to each other.

You're very sweet - but very naive.

For millennia people have used religion as excuses to hurt others. Not all religions play nice within themselves, each other, and atheists.

Theists, especially christians, try to control and restrict us based on their views. If all christians stop crusading against science, culture, art, sex and sexuality, religious freedom and such, and stop telling everybody else they're going to be tortured throughout eternity unless they join you, I assure you that you won't encounter nearly as much hostility.

And all religion is bad - "moderate" beliefs open the door to extremism.

For some reason the word "luke warm" just came to mind....

But yes, nobody should bash anyone or shove it down their throat....I will continue to share the word of God on here, as new people come on everyday. But as God says our speech should be gentle, seasoned with salt so we should know how to respond to one another- Colossians 4:6

Very good point! I would gladly agree to disagree, But it seems that so many people just want to disagree, its their nature too. But if they disagree who cares, Its their right too.

Because some people refuse to believe in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. I believe that some people want to believe that they are higher than God.

We do agree to disagree. That's not the issue. We just don't stop there, that would be boring.

I think we already agree to disagree.

I agree to disagree until you insult me or tell me I'm wrong. if you say "I don't believe that", go ahead. if you say "Christ is a myth" or "(insert something that pretains to me here) are stupid" then I have a problem.
