Okay so you need to keep your back and shoulders clean so be sure to clean your back with some sort of wash or cleanser twice a day. I also recommend using some masks every once and a while.
Also make sure the shirts you wear are clean because if they are dirty then the bacteria just sits on your back all day.
You can always see a dermatologist who will give you great skin care products and help to clean up your back and shoulders a bit.
Also make sure your eating healthy. Plenty of water and vegetables can give you nutrients to keep your skin clearer. Junk food and too much dairy can make your skin more prone to break out.

I had the same problem. I tried everything-- prescription medicine, neutrogena body wash, but what i found worked best was vinegar. I poored some on a cotton ball and rubbed all over my back, waited about ten minutes, and the showered off. The smell is awful but it comes of in the shower. This worked wonders for me. I am pretty sure it is because vinegar kills bacteria. Good luck!

You have three choices:
1. Ignore it, hope that it goes away.
2. Use over the counter acne treatments, like facewashes and creams. Be sure to use them in the morning and before you go to bed.
3. Go see a dermatologist.
I have a problem with acne too. It never fully goes away but I can keep it managable.

Your dermo. will tell you to tan in a tanning bed!!!! this will clear it up!!! the tanning bed is different from the sun as the bed blocks the bad rays! if not try nioxin for thinning hair the side effect of this product was that every place it touched peoples skin it cleansed very well and cleared up backs and chests! use it as a back wash! (I took a class on this product thru my salon)

Yeah to be honest tanning is best. I used everything from Proactiv to pills and nothing seemed to help until I went tanning. It really clears everything up and it makes you look good too. Just don't go too much... don't wanna turn into a pumpkin.

Try Neutrogena's skin clearing body wash, it works really well. If you use it every day it should keep the pores clean.

get rid of the dead skin build up using a body exfoliator or a loofah or something- AFTER you use conditioner. conditioner can clog your pores leading to acne.
