How early in a pregnancy can you do a paternity test? I'm about 7 1/2 weeks pregnant at the moment.

Most doctors won't do an inutero paternity test, its to dangerous and could cause you to lose the baby. Wait till the baby is born and have it done.
Good luck to you

You can do a paternity test as soon as the baby is born. If you were having an amnio earlier than that for medical reasons, they can also draw enough fluid for a paternity test. However, that is generally pointless as a judge will not rule until a live baby is born. It MAY be important if there are two or more fathers in question and you want the real father to be present for the birth. However, doctors won't do an amnio unless there is a medical reason to do so.

You can get a needle stuck in your belly, while pregnant, but from what I understand it's dangerous to do! But it can be done I beleive after 20 weeks! I'd wait until baby was born though! It's your body and baby though!Good Luck!

it would be safer to wait till the baby is born to do the test. but if you are in a hurry they can do it when you got pregnant. anytime you feel like finding out go get it done.
