It depends on why you were pulled over, how far from the scene of the stop to your home, and the regulations of the police department. Driving your car home could be a courtesy given to you by the police in lieu of the towing and impound fees at your expense.

He can but he wont to avoid any sue if he scratch it. Beside he is nor your driver.
Only in a police emergencye or life and death situation they might do it. But if you are arrested or drunk then they will tow the car and send you the bill.

Only if they get the Sate Governor or Chief of Police drunk as hell, they might be willing to drive them home.

Pulled over for what? Driving Under the Influence? Whatever, a PO can not spend the time accommodating your inconvenience. Usually you have to call someone to drive it or it will be towed.

Can he ?? i guess if he is your good friend and wants to take you home instead of arresting you.

But procedure is if you are arrested, or if you dont have a license, they normally impound your car and have it towed in.

Drive to whose home...his or yours? To his...no! To yours....if you give him permission and relieve him of all liability...possibly.

If it were me in the officers shoes....it'd be towed at your expense!

Best wishes.

we arnt supposed to. because if we take your vehicle, we are responsible for it if it becomes damaged. and we don't like that. so we will have it towed or leave it in a parking lot.
