Yep, sooner even. I got pregnant when my son was 12 weeks but it's not healthy because your body hasn't had the opportunity to heal.

You can conceive on the very next cycle, therefore, protection is vital -- especially since it helps to let the body heal until it's ready to go through another pregnancy. Breastfeeding tends to delay the next cycle, however, it is NOT reliable protection.

There are many inexpensive options for birth control, and not necessarily expensive or just plain icky. If health insurance picks up the tab and no pregnancies are desired for a year or more, I recommend a hormonal-based IUD. However, a doctor is best qualified to help make this decision.

Women can be fertile again as early as 4-6 weeks after delivery. Most women who are nursing take longer to begin releasing eggs again. Three months is more than old enough for you to conceive again. If you haven't yet conceived, you should wait, the body needs time to rest and heal, if you have conceived, it will be more important for you to get early and good healthcare for yourself and the baby. Hope this helps, good luck.

You can conceive 4 weeks right after you give birth, you start to ovulate almost immediately, so if you don't wish to become pregnant right now, I suggest you use some birth control quickly.

In the first cycle athough breasfeeding offers a BIT of protection, so within 2-4 weeks.

Yes, you can, but it is considered very unhealthy. Your body has not yet recovered from the first baby and is not in the best shape to grow another. Also, it would prevent breast feeding of the first child. Be careful... breast feeding can cancel out any birth control you are taking, rendering it ineffective.

Yes! It's not a good idea though! It's best to wait a year and give your body a chance to recoup from the first one!

Yes, you can. You may want to talk to your physician about it though and what he/she recommends.
