can someone be anorexic at 50 years old, and still be alive?

my girlfriend is 50 and she hardly eats. she weighs 40 kg. is she anorexic?

Yes. I'm older than that and Dr. called me anorexic. I'm not trying to lose weight, I just have no appetite. The concern is that you are not getting enough nutrition-vitamins and stuff, so you need to take supplements. I don't know how much 40kg is in pounds, and it depends on how tall she is.
