It's not only normal to question your religion, it is absolutely essential. And even the Christian faith dictates that Christians should do it. The Bible says, "Test ALL things, and hold fast to that which is good."

It is quite normal to question things you learned as a young child. You sound young to me, so I figure you are probably in your teen years. These are years filled with questions, but if you truly seek answers, you will find them. Not only about religion, but about other things like your career, if you will get married, have kids, and other life questions. There is a lot of self-discovery either happening or about to happen in your life.
Now is the time to study your given Christian roots and compare what you learn to what other religions are teaching.
You must, at some point, make up your own mind.
Of course, I would hope that you choose to remain Christian, and then embrace it completely, as I have done.

totally normal. everyone questions things. that's part of finding out who you really are. it's not a bad thing to question your religion regardless of what people might tell you. the thing to remember is that if you really believe in something, then it's going to work for you. and it's not really a matter of questioning who you are as a person, it more of just finding yourself. becoming the individual you and not what everyone is trying to make you into. throughout your life you are going to question things because you want to make sure that what you believe and what you do is you and not everyone else. don't psycho analyze too much though. just think the things through that you are questioning, all your arguments and issues and such, and you'll figure it out.

VERY normal. If you are uncomfortable in the religion that you were raised with don't be afraid to venture out. It may be as simple as you need to attend a different denomination or you may need to make a total spiritual turnaround. Try different things but DO NOT be afraid to try new things for fear of "makin' God mad" if you decide that you really believe all that mess then you already know that he will forgive you after you beg or whatever

You got great parents if they have a heart for God.
We all have questions about something.

questioning your own religion is normal, and might even be considered your duty. christians are told to be knowledgable about what they believe in. the only way you can do that is to read, ask questions, and have other people ask you questions. if there is definite proof that God doesn't exist, then i would throw away christianity and have all the "fun" i could until death.

Absolutely! If one never examines one's beliefs, one never truly owns them. Parents may worry that their child may leave the family faith, but it is a necessary part of growing up to learn how that faith really works, in contrast to other belief systems. If you ate only one brand of cereal or watched only one TV show or read only one magazine, how could you make an informed decision about what you knew?
Experience, or at least exposure, enables one to understand what one truly believes. An honest, well-founded faith will survive the examination. And if it doesn't, you'll at least be moving toward your proper spiritual path.

A child will first accept his parents religion without question. It can not truly become your own until you question it and verify the truth of it independently.
Faith is not fact. Everyone except a few nutters question their faith now and again.
*may your journey to truth and purpose continue throughout your life and bring many rewards*

Not only normal but necessary.
If you never question your faith, how can you know that your faith is true? Or rather, if your faith can't stand up under questioning, what kind of faith is it?
Jesus warned us against being like the shallow soil that springs up too quickly, yet withers away under testing because they "have no root". When you struggle with your faith, the roots of your faith are growing, digging down, and bursting through the rocky soil of doubt and shallowness.
If you never question your faith, your faith will remain shallow. Give your faith a chance to be tested and to prove itself! Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

Rely on the Bible...it is God's word. Don't listen to man and other religions. Your Bible will tell you that other religions created by false prophets are tactics used by the devil to lead you astray. Keep your eyes on Jesus. It is normal to question initally and the devil will attack you the hardest at this time to try and cause you to fall. Don't listen to him. Pray. You'll be alright.
