You are absolutely right .It is not accurate, the word "war", but the media started calling it and those who have no clue about the technicalities merely tagged along.
The declaration was probably not even necessary in the minds of people. I think that if you ask almost anybody, the answer will be the same. What do you mean its not a "war" ?
At the end of the day, pedantic words do not count. It is a war. We are seeing and hearing conflict, bodies in body bags are coming home.

Your information needs to be sourced. This is just your opinion and holds no weight. It is obvious you are simply stating what you have heard here and there and placed your own spin on things.
Do some research then post an intelligent questions that is based on facts and not your own assumptions.
BTW, Prez. Bush has declared this a war, not the media. Your frustrations about this should be sent to the White House for resolution.

I've heard it called "The War in Iraq", whether or not congress has declared war. Does it really matter?
Thousands of people are dead. It is what it is.

Why did we call the conflict in Vietnam the Vietnam War?
Congress didn't declare war on them, either...

What are you talking about Dino? Liberals didn't come up with "The War On Terror".
I think it's called the "War in Iraq" because they (the press)are lazy. And unfortunately so is much of the public.

i wouldn't even call it a conflict...those that still can't get their minds around the FACT that terror is a tactic and not a country call it a war...the whole deal at Ft. Dix this week is further PROOF that the way to get these guys (terrorists) is through good old fashioned police work...not a military invasion
