In the Book of Mormon and other scriptures, it says you can see God if you have enough faith in Him and pray sincerely to find him.
Look at Joseph Smith! He was only 14 and he saw God!! All because instead of claiming to "know" God didn't exist, he prayed in faith to find Him!

This isn't a joke; of course I'm serious! Haven't you ever tried? If you haven't tried it, you can't make fun of it!

Look at Joseph Smith! He was 19 when he was arrested for 'glass looking!' And he saw treasure! And this was 5 years after he said he saw god and jesus, but only wrote about it 15 years later, but said he saw Nephi instead!
Faith in things that aren't real or is merely wishful thinking. It doesn't make it so...

Proove that JS saw god. Just because he says so doesn't make it so. Just because it is written in a book doesn't make it so. I had faith in the Book of Mormon at one point, and I prayed and had so much faith, only to find out that I was wrong, and boy did I feel like a fool. Don't even give me that crap (that other LDS/Mormons) give me about not having faith, or that I must have been sinning, or that someone at church offended me. The B of M or the Bible say it, and it is true that a person may have an experience resembling what many people have described, have you ever heard of sheep, or the power of suggestion, or flat out liars?

Wow... ex-Mormon, return missionary, and former Sunday school teacher here. Now an Atheist.
How many times have you seen God? Six, seven? One even? Not once in my 26 years as a devout Mormon did that happen and trust me, I prayed for it. It is really easy to make people feel "good, warm fuzzies." I can make that feeling happen with no "Spirit" required. Notice how it requires faith and seeking to find him? With that mindset you will interpret every warm fuzzy as a note from God. It just isn't real. Your note from God is simply a chemical reaction to psychological stimuli meant to induce good feelings.
Call us when you have evidence.

Thomas Aquinas also provides proof that God exists. He wrote the 5 Proofs of the Existence of God and if you read them with an open mind, they actually make sense logically. They provide a reasonable, rational justification for belief in the existence of God.

I tried praying as a child and saw nothing. Finally, I figured out that I was just talking to myself the whole time.

Hahaha. You can only see god if you convince yourself that he exists to the point of hallucination! Hey, I can see ANYTHING that way. Although the mushrooms help. You may want to lay off the mushrooms.

I claim God has never existed except in the hearts of men. Some 14 year old kid wouldn't know God if he saw him.

Again, people who don't understand how this works. YOU must provide proof of your statement, people need not disprove your statements, YOU need to show validity for them first and THEN will they undergo scrutiny to show errors or misconceptions.
YOU need to show proof of god that can stand up to scientific scrutiny.
I am actually resorting to copy paste on this since it has to be said so much.
