I'm looking for a bed frame and mattress. Anybody have some suggestions that they love? I'm a 20 year old college student, but I'm looking for something nice that will last me the next several years. Simmons? Sealey? Select Comfort? How about frame? I'm liking the contemporary designs.

Price-wise I'm looking to keep it under $1200 for both.

I don't know if it matters, but I sleep on my stomach a lot. Side sometimes too. 6 foot, 170 lbs.

there are mattress and furniture stores, try out a few and see what you like, i suggest a built in box spring with a pillow top, ikea has some nice mattresses that are the same price as mattress stores but of better quality. as for a frame. go cheap but durable.

Check out your mattress stores where you can actually lay down and try out the mattresses. They will help you find the comfort level and brand that suits you. Select Comfort is very nice and probably will be our next but they are not cheap. Save that for after college. Contemporary bed frames from Ikea would be your best bet within your budget.

No-one can advise you on what to buy as each purchase of a bed should be tested by YOU. best way for you to know which one to buy is by going to the bed shop and try them all.

Personally I like slat beds with a medium mattress. My husband and I chose it by trying out all the beds in the shop. It wasn't embarrassing because no-one else was there and the sales assistant left us to try them.

good luck with your choice

not sure about the mattress, but if you can buy that space foam topper to put over your mattress, it will greatly improve it!
