One day shortly after I lost very close to every thing I had I said to GOD, who the hell do you think you are dumping me here and leaving me to be nothing more than a moving target for the whole world while you sit up there in heaven where everything is perfect and peaceful. I was so pissed and I stayed that way for weeks, but there was this subtle something that you can only know but not explain making me feel like everything would be ok and now it would be hard for me to think of a way that my life could be any better. To answer your question , no my GOD doesn't punish me for questioning my faith he knowes that out of the 2 of us he is the smart one and the more understanding and forgiving one
so like any good father he simply waits for the right time to make everything good again.

Wouldn't you have to believe in God first? There was a point in my life when I doubted Gods existence. I was a bit sad because I thought that would mean there would be no future for me after death. But then I'm like, "hey, if ghosts are really, then the afterlife must be real!". So I was better again.

God forgives people for their wrong doings. But if you keep doing wrong things without changing your ways that is not good. But doing one thing wrong and then never doing it again and becoming a better person and learning from your mistakes is what god wants to see and wants us all to do. The same thing applies to the questioning of faith. God wants everyone to believe, but if somebody for one second doesnt believe, and then believes again, God will forgive that person because they are still a believer. God loves those who have always been believers, but God especially loves those who were lost and then believed and changed their ways from bad to good.

Yes, there was a time when I thought of God as punishing--much as I thought of my parents as punishing. Now, I am much more aware of the love. No, I don't think God would punish me--or you--for thinking my faith was wrong. In fact, I am prone to 3-year-old tantrums, secure in the knowledge that God loves me even when I am childish and need to get stuff out of my system. God loves our questions; God's not nearly as fond of being ignored.

It could be a test. We are only human and we will wonder from time to time if what we have done is true and correct. I believe thru faith and learning truth thru discernment, we can be at peace with our choices. I don't believe God will smite us. He knows we will make mistakes and he has an awfully big heart, giving us chance after chance.

Actions are more important than thoughts. In theory, if someone was logically incapable of believing in God, yet kept every command in his religion I would say he is a man God would find worthy. I don't believe God will punish me for philosophical surmisings.

Not my idea of God. It is too contradictory. Try this one time. Ask a religious zealot, is their God Omnipotent, Omniscient, and/or ALL Loving/Caring has unconditional love for you? If they say yes, then ask them if God can contradict him or her self? If they say, "No!!" Well then, their God cannot smite anyone. If he is all the above, he/she/it accepts you NO MATTER WHAT because God cannot contradict itself..Cool? Good Luck!! Just be ready for a brain dead, look to the Bible answer that does not contradict my argument. It is sadly fun to watch them lie or squirm to fight the absurdity of their logic. God Bless us all!!!

No.
The God I love and respect is a God of Truth and Light. I'm sure he would be pleased that I was finding more to add to what I already have.

You obviously like to "bait" with a hidden agenda. Have the guts to say what you want to say upfront. Coward.

I think it is natural to have doubts in your faith. Especially when you are new in your faith. God never punished me for questioning Him or being unsure of even His existence and I can tell you in my earlier days there were times when I was ready to give up. But, God has proven Himself to me many times. I know many do not understand that or choose to not believe that because it is hard to comprehend, and that is ok too.

No, I would not be smited (sp?). We all have stumbling blocks throughout our eternal progression. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, and faith, all of these things can be overcome.
