If you are/were in 9th or 10th grade and have never had a boyfriend or girlfriend before how did you cope with that? I will be in 9th grade next year and I have never had a boyfriend before, I feel really stupid and dumb and weird because I am the last of all my friends to have a boyfriend. But the really weird part about me is I don't really want a boyfriend right now. Do you think people will make fun of me? Guys just don't talk to me and I don't know why. When did you get your first boyfriend or girlfriend? Is it weird to be a late bloomer when it comes to relationships? Please answer my questions!

If you don't want a bf right now, its okay. People will not make fun of you just because you don't have a boyfriend. So chill. I know a lot of people who have never had bf/gf and they're in college, including myself. No, its not weird to be a late bloomer. In fact, when you're single, you are more focused on your "studies". If you wanna stay away from drama and just focus on you school work, then don't start a relationship. =]

i'm in 11th grade.. and i have never had a boyfriend before yet..... so stop worrying so much. it's not a big deal. i know Lots of people who haven't. you are not the only one just because your friends are more "that way" you have a LONG time still. you are not dumb or weird or anything else because of that, and you shouldn't feel that way!! not everyone is the same.. or else then Everyone around would have boyfriend and girlfriend.. there are Always people who aren't and those that are.. it comes and goes.. and it's different for everyone. you can't Force things like that.. it just will Happen. so just wait your turn and be patient.. and they take up a lot of your time anyways.. and you don't even want one so why should you? ENJOY this time while you don't. you have to love Yourself first before anyone else can love you anyways. you are just more mature. things will happen when they are meant to happen. just take your time.. it will come.

People will not make fun of you.
I really have not had a boyfriend but somewhat. In 5Th grade.
No it is not because i am not a quick Bloomer and i know i am normal.
You don't need a boyfriend or you will end up having a baby all the boy will want is sex.
Just kidding LoL.
But seriously thought you are normal.

Don't worry! I was 17 when I had my first boyfriend. Just don't be so concerned. If you're not ready for a boyfriend then don't push yourself into it too soon. When you find a guy you really like, you'll know you're ready.

Guys at that age are, to put it plainly, just idiots. In high school relationships are all about popularity and social status. Some guy will want to talk to you, and more, one day. I promise. Just be patient and have confidence in yourself. Confidence is always attractive. It's usually when you stop looking that you find someone.

No it's not weird. I didn't start dating until my junior year (which is now). Other than the occasional jerk that makes fun of you for being single, don't worry about it. I don't think anyone should really have a high school partner because there's too many factors that lead to break ups. So don't feel bad and trust me don't worry about a partner right now because all they will do is get you distracted when you can find someone who really cares.

I didn't have a girlfriend until the last part of the 10th grade. I never really understood why it was such a priority to get a bf/gf. Most of the people I know changed bf/gf more often
than they changed socks. Why do you need to impress your friends with having a bf, anyway.......they will like you less if you don't have one? Maybe it's just me, but that doesn't sound like a very good friend to me

You're fine. Some people may tease you, but that has more to do with the fact that teenagers (and adults too) often have trouble accepting people who do things differently than they do. It's easier to tease you than to reflect on the issue and, possibly, realize that they regret their own decisions. People are afraid of differences and don't often react to them in a thoughtful way.

Oh, by the way. While I "went out" with a couple girls in junior high, they were hardly what I would call real boyfriend-girlfriend relationships. My first one of those was when I was 17.

everyone starts dating at different times in life. if you only want a boyfriend because your friends all have or had one then you are dating for the wrong reasons. when you find the right person you will know....and my biggest piece of advice is not to get to worried about having a boyfriend durning this crucial period of academic development in youf life....pay more attention to your studies and not what everyone else in your life is doing....you will find that the more you succeed in school work the better off you will be in the future to come....and the better the guys you will meet in the long run as a result of concentration on your studies....trust me the relationships that you may have now in your life will not be longterm so why not make a long term commitment to yourself and worry more about after school activities and keeping your grades up.....don't waste this valuable time to futher the person you are bound to become

it makes you kind of feel like an oddball not to have a boyfriend when all your friends do and even lonely thinking that's the reason why in high school. Its seems weird to be late bloomer but not panicking about it. i realize everyones life is different and my dont have to mimic anybody else's or try to fit in with anyone else's. I have my own story and sticking to it.

Hunnie im 16, i have never had a boyfriend yet. When you have boy friend after boy friend, and you keep breaking up and going back out with the next person who comes your way, people look at you. Highschool is more about getting threw and just haveing friends and haveng fun. I wouldnt worry about boyfriends and stuff. just have fun and get good grades!
