Fighting and killing stem from Hate. Hate is learned. Babies aren't born with hate. Hate and religious ignorance is what causes fighting...that and Ego. I feel that it's not ONE religion that's the right one. It's inside of each human. It shouldn't be dictated by an idea or individual who has their own views, faults, ideas and baggage.Organized religion is for those who choose not to think for themselves.
As long as you are a good person and respect life and don't judge other's....
None of us really know what's on the other side or what the there-after holds.

I am a Christian and yes obviously I believe in God. As to why...It is indeed a story almost to good to be true but I have found that it also makes a great deal of sense. Right from the very beginning, although not perfect, the origins of man written about in the book of Genesis are remarkably similar to what science believes today. If I were GOD and I wanted to tell people about me and about themselves, it is exactly how I would say it. Easy to understand, given in concepts rather than details....just as a parent teaches a very young child about things they could not possibly understand completely. Man has come a long way since then, and this suggests that there is no way that men of that time (2000+ year ago) could have come up with these concepts on their own. Things in The New Testament is in my opinion the exact thing that a god would have to do to meet all the criteria we understand as Christians about GOD in order to complete his purpose for us. And, since becoming a questioning believer, I have experienced some things that I have to call miraculous because nothing in modern science or any other category of study has been able to provide the answer as to why or how something happens. Most people have not made a study of God's word (The Bible) and know only what they have heard or believe many of the misconceptions that are bantered about. Until they experience GOD (via the Holy Spirit), they can not possibly understand but must accept things solely on faith...which is believing without seeing. Once that a person chooses to believe (yes, it is a choice), then they actually move from believing by faith to believing by experience. God is awesome...I wish I had come to know him long before I did.

Probably your intuition has kept you away from wrong religion's, and searching for the right one, which is god's (creator's) decision as when you shall find it. Heaven is here and how you feel about life on earth, hell is same, time tell's you which place you are at, if life is enjoyable you are up and if not, down, and that is worse than a burning. All religion's become corrupt with time, and so your searching for the closeness to a creator, undoubtedly is very close to an answer, if you continue the love for pure kind and radiant soul, you will find it within you, soon.

There is no one right religion for everyone. Every religion has something for someone, why limit yourself to the 3 Abrahamic religions. Look into others, there are many Pagan traditions that are very peaceful, loving and ethical, also Buddhism, Hinduism, Spiritualism, etc. Do a little research into other religions and spiritualities.
Good luck, happy hunting,

The only way that I know to answer you is the way I understand it.
Religion is man's way of trying to please their gods and imposing rules, rituals, regulations and fear on people.
Jesus Christ is God's way of reaching down to humanity with love, forgiveness and grace. With Jesus, it is a personal relationship, a friendship.
The only religion that is mentioned by God, for New Testament Christians, is found in James 1 verse 27, which says, Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

My son answered this in a way that made sense to me, when he decided to become an Orthodox Catholic. The oldest organized Christian religion on earth. If it was good enough for Jesus, it is good enough for me.
All the other sects that have broken away from orthodox catholicism have done so for personal, greed or anti-christian-teaching purposes. i.e. They wanted to worship in ways "they" felt were right. If you read the history of so called "religious" men who founded "churches" of "their own" i.e. John Knox and Martin Luther, and so on, you will find some pretty despicable acts committed by these individuals. For instance, John Knox was an obvious pedophile, who only "mated" with a young under the age of 14 girl, and only for sex not to procreate as he was in his late 70s at the time. He murdered the priests of his diocese before setting out on a "religious" quest to form the Presbyterian religion. For some reason, I doubt that Jesus would approve of having to murder people in order to get other people to believe "you" and "you alone" are the answer to their religious needs!
So I suggest perhaps you might want to study how each religious sect was formed, by whom, and what kind of individual those people were; what was their reasoning, if any, for wanting to break away from the Church that Jesus had formed. That is what my son did and, at age 38 he was confirmed and baptised, and is a deeply religious person to this day. He lives his religious faith and beliefs without being intrusive into anyone else's life, but he is there for them if they need someone to listen.
Good luck to you my friend.

You have to read more and to use the good sources for each relegion. I think all relegions lead to be a good person if the follower commit to the true attitude of the relegion. God wants people to live in peace. This is the main idea in all relegions.
I can give you a good source to have informative answers about your questions about Islam:

Well the answer to the question is ... use ur mind to decide what is right and what is wrong. I wont tell u that "MY RELIGION IS RIGHT" although I believe so. I would only tell u that all that Islam says is scientifically either proven correct, or science has yet not progressed to the point. Science hasnt been able to prove anything wrong in Quran.
visit: www.irf.net for scientific proof.
Also keep an open mind. Study all religions ..See for ur self whats right and whats wrong.
Islam is alla bout facts.

it depends on the person.
what is right for you, may not be the case for me.
(tht doestn mean we should all be enemies and fight eachother)
not everyone is ready for certain religions.
all religions lead to the same goal, the same end. its just that some take longer and some are faster.depending on where yo are at you rspiritual journey, there is a religion for you.
