You have an excellent point. The whole sex problem with religion, goes back to ancient times. The sex rules all have one purpose that is to control women and make sure their children are actually their husbands. The ancient Hebrews,( from whence all sex rules come) were fanatical about linage. So things like adultery and not being a virgin at marriage threatened the possibility that any child might not be the husband`s. That would threaten the authenticity of ones claim on ancestry. If you`ll notice the writers of the Gospels were able to count both Mary and Josephs linage back to David. The idea that homosexuality is sinful is a misunderstanding of the Hebrew culture. Romans were hated, by the Jews and Romans had a very different relationship in marriage than the Jews. In Roman culture wives were for keeping the home and nurturing the children, companionship was between men. Men went to bath houses for the company of other men and Romans didn't see having relations with other men as anything but natural. I wish Christians would put more of their energy into protesting war and less into others bedroom.

Because fornication is a sin. Sex isn't wrong. God created sex. It's a wonderful, beautiful thing that modern society has reduced to something cheap and ugly. Sex is only to be enjoyed within the confines of marriage. If people had actually obeyed the Bible, we probably wouldn't have so many sexually transmitted diseases we have today. I'm 37 and never been with a man because I've not married. If I marry, I will enjoy sex. If I don't, then I would rather die a virgin than to break the heart of my Savior for a cheap, ugly thrill.

Because they perceivethis as the ideal. While there may be something to be admired in chasing an ideal life does not always work out that way and to have another human chastise and judge those who live by their own chosen code is wrong. Each to their own and live and let live.......it is not for any man to be the judge. So they, the religios types, can follow their own but too often see fit to judge those who do not live by their perception of God's rules.

I do not know maybe they realize that premarital sex destroys relationships, has a much more likely risk of STD's, unplanned pregnancies (which lead to many abortions), also mental trauma.
Yeah I really do not know, seems like those few minutes of pleasure do not have any downsides.

From a religious stand point: I am a Christian, and I do not believe in or support sex before marriage. Why? Because my Bible tells me that sex was created for husband and wife only. If you have sex with someone who does not belong to you (and they DON’T belong to you unless you have a marriage certificate to back it up) not only are you coveting and stealing (lookie there, breaking two commandments in one shot) but you’re also creating a soul tie with that person.
From a non-religious stand point: I was a virgin when I got married, my husband was not, far from it actually. I saved myself for him as a gift on our wedding night. Do you know how angry it makes me when I think about my husband being with other women? I am probably one of the most jealous people on the planet, I’ll admit it. If I ever saw one of those girls, if they ever approached him in public, called him, talked to him or anything like that…I would beat the sh*t out of them. Faith aside…I don’t think I would be able to control myself. I know he was half of the problem, but that to me is unacceptable. It is better not to be out banging anyone you can get your hands on because it creates too much jealously in a relationship. No one is happy about thinking of the person they are married to with other people.

because of its ties to medical consequences. where else do std's come from? they come from people having multiple partners. in marriage you only have one partner. therefore, you won't get std's. also, sex has an added bonus of creating life. married couples don't need to worry about having a baby because their gonna have one anyway, and they both can take care of it. premarital sex produces "unwanted" babies who then get aborted. if the mother does keep the baby, then she will (most likely) have to go on welfare and it changes her life completely. married couples can adapt to such changes.

You need a douche or a pressure cleaner or something!!! That's disgusting!
You wouldn't happen to have my car keys in there, would you? I'm about to leave for work & i don't know where i put them.
And HEY..... the catholic priest & the altar boy weren't married..... but they let the priest keep his job! So i guess they're not against it if it's a grown man (priest) with an underage altar boy?!
