I am at work and I am able to print to this printer without any problems. However, when I try to scan a document it will not come to my computer. I have tried using Adobe Acrobat to scan to my computer to make a pdf and I have tried using HP Document Viewer off the Start menu. My computer definitely detects the printer because I am able to print to it. I just can't scan. Does anyone have any clues as to what I can do?

If you're connected to the printer via network, you have to connect your computer directly to it.

I had some problems with the 6210. I could only pre-scan in black and white. But I could do the final scan in color.

Hope this helps.

This is a long shot, but could it be that the scanner drivers/software are separate from the printer drivers/software?

One good place to check may be

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=391153&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us

where you can download the drivers and software for your particular operating system. There may (or may not) be separate categories for applications, drivers, utilities, and updates.

Good luck.
