I died for a short time once when I was 8 1/2.
I "dreamed" of a beautiful garden made of light.

Same as life after birth-either hell on earth or heaven on earth,
(heaven that is after we exit our body). Death is not absolute end of ourselve's, our life, our awareness, or main identity, or leaveing the universe, it's exactly the same as exiting our mother's womb and comeing into the cold cruel world of the blue planet. Christianity's weakness is Islamic strength, the life after death (martyr's) blasting away the paid killer troops, or the wandering crusader's, is proof of which religion believe's more in life after death. Sadly, both religion's are extreme.

We are incapable of answering that question with anything other than our imaginations because we have never been beyond death and back. If we want to know what lies beyond the grave we either wait until we die or we ask the only one who has been there and back. Jesus tells us that there is eternal life for all who will simply believe and recieve Him. He loves us and wants to bless us for eternity. KDG

for most a long rest and healing from all the self-abuse: physically, mentally, and emotionally. Then the guy from men in black comes and erases all of your memories and you get reborn into an appropriate family (or animal pack, bug pack, depending on your karma)

Nothing whatsoever.
This scares some people so much they make up stories about a magical fairy granting people eternal life.
We call these stories "religion".

No one can tell you for sure (the method for finding out precludes are ability to tell others about it), so your answers will run the gamut from nothing to eternal damnation to eternal paradise to eternal eh to rebirth.
