To loose weight you will have to burn more calories than you consume, the easiest way to do that is cut out the junk food such as soda, cookies, and other "quick grab foods".
It will help alot if you buy or prepare snacks ahead of time that are lower in calories and quick and easy for when you feel that need for a quick munch. It is easier to eat better when you have time, so make having good, quick foods a priority so you are not so tempted to grab the vienna sausage or the McDonalds double cheeseburger.
I cut my cokes down and lost 5 pounds in about three weeks without even trying.
Exercise will help you feel more energetic, with kids your age get outside every chance you get. Go for walks, etc. with a stroller for the baby. Just get moving!

There is one sure-thing formula to weight loss. Consume fewer calories than you burn--about 500 fewer every day, to lose about a pound a week. Consume less, lose more. It's all math!
When I cut my calories, I found some tips that helped me through the tough dieting time:
1) when you think you're hungry, drink a glass of water and wait 10 minutes. You may find that after that, you're not hungry! Saved some calories there.
2) do not eat after 7pm

Well, I cant say this is a diet persay, but this is how I do it and it works for me.
1. 4 small meals a day, no pasta, no starch.
2. Walk as often as possible.
3. Get a walking partner.
4. leg lifts, they work the stomach, thieghs, and butt.
5. If you have small children, Have them sit on your feet while you are sitting, and lift them as many times as comfortable, rest repeat 3 Times.

Hi Amy,
My wife and I are on a health/ diet plan. We've been disciplined to stay on this plan. I have lost 22 pounds in 53 days and my wife 19. It's a simple plan that requires no exercise. You have to follow the program with the all natural food supplements from this plan. If you would like more information email me at Big Kat.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

it's hard to go back to work full time after having children. i would recommend buying a double jogger. i loved mine! after dinner....just take a trip around your block and let the worries go away. the kids will love being out of the house before bed time and it gives you a little time to your self as well. the other thing i would suggest is to cut back on a big meal at night. i would snack in between meals...have a hearty lunch and a simple meal at night. my best friend is a personal trainer and she gave me these tips...they really helped.
as for house work...i would suggest to clean one item a day....if you can only get to the dishes...then so be it... i try to get three things done on sat. morning before everybody wakes up. during the week i try to do one thing a day...clean the kids bathroom, do a load of laundy, vacuum, and that way i don't feel like there are tons of things to do everyday.
good luck and keep up the good work.
