Eat smaller portions. Stop eating fried food and candy/sugar. Buy a comfortable pair of shoes and get your butt on a treadmill.

I am currently on a diet also, I need to lose about 50 pounds to be at my ideal weight. Minimizing your portions, eating healthier substitutes for the foods that you already eat, just taking at least a 30 minute walk each day could help you lose weight without drugs. A diet pill specially designed for women like Slim-Quick would speed up the process but are by no means necessary. Examples of substitutes: when you eat an omelet, use only the egg whites not the yolks; regular chicken for a chicken breast, lean beef or pork instead of fatty pieces, wheat bread instead of white, and fat free stuff like milk, cheese, and yogurt. Make sure that you still get recommended daily amount of nutrients too.

Stop drinking soda. Every time you crave pop, drink a glass of water. If there was a safe weight-loss pill on the market that actually worked no one would be overweight. But if you need an easy way to lose some weight, I recommend making one substitution and sticking with it. Like the soda thing- you can still eat how and what you normally do, but with one exception. My sister cut out all soda and instead drank more water, and lost ten pounds in one month without exercising or changing her diet in any other way.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is no easy way. The only way to minimize the stress (mental and physical) is through progressive overload... meaning start little by little. When I first started running I ran 1 mile daily. A week later I ran 1.25 miles. Then 1.5 miles the week after. Little by little I kept increasing. At a certain point instead of increasing the mileage, I increased the intensity by running faster. The same principle applies to lifting weights and to dieting.
One thing I tell people over and over is to stay away from simple sugar and high fructose corn syrup. Just eliminating these from a diet can have drastic results. However, what's required from you is the willpower to stay away from the stuff. What alot of people don't realize is that alot of ingredients in food are put there to be addictive, much like cigarettes. Our bodies aren't made to process white sugar. Stay away from that crp.

Well my mom lost like 60 pounds by eating healthy. Dont eat salads they are not healthy(when you have ranch and bacon bits). Diet Pills are a no no. You can try Jenny Craig or whatever. You can also run with a friend or jog. Then you have fun. Get into sports it really helps and you have fun.(and video games not a sport. Eat like a yogart for lunch and for supper then splerge a little the next day.Try to push yopurself harder everyday if you run a mile try 2 miles the next day then you lose weight and get fit on the inside, too.

There's no short cut.
There is one sure-thing formula to weight loss. Consume fewer calories than you burn--about 500 fewer every day, to lose about a pound a week. Consume less, lose more. It's all math!
When I cut my calories, I found some tips that helped me through the tough dieting time:
1) when you think you're hungry, drink a glass of water and wait 10 minutes. You may find that after that, you're not hungry! Saved some calories there.
2) do not eat after 7pm

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I had tried EVERYTHING to lose weight and am now on Nutrisystem. I started in January of this year. I have lost 59 pounds so far and counting. IT's an amazing program and easy to follow. For about $10 a day, it's SO worth it! I feel so much better and my health has improved significantly. Good luck!

Eat less food, but at more regular intervals during the day (3-4 meals with snacks in between) and exercise your little heart out.
If you absolutely must eat junk food every once in awhile, eat a lot of fiber with it and eat less than you would normally.

Sorry but there is no easy way. If it were easy there would not be so many overweight people out there. Takes lots of work, will power, diet and exercise.........
