My girlfriend wants me to convert to Islam. When i act confused about this or doubt that i can do it, she use guilt on me.
I asked her once, if she would convet to my religion and she said "No".
She says "she has to do it for her mother"
Ah this gets me upset. Should i do this?

Hi there dude, i am muslim first of all. You see in Islam a girl cannot merry a non-muslim. So that is the thing but what i will tell you is research Islam completely, its very much like christanity. Then if you heart is in it, only then convert. All the best with your life.

Well, you shouldn't change your religion and beliefs for someone.
But science Islam is the true religion that God wants all of us to follow , that means she want you to convert for yourself , study Islam and see if you believe in it CONVERT., and believe me you will live happily in your life and you will go to heaven.

No and I would point out the penalty in Islam for converting back is death. While that may not be operative in America, look around the world.

Why people are so disrespectful??? So if you dont convert, you are not the same person she fell in love with???? You are not exactly the same person????? Why so many people are so ignorant, especially Muslims (sorry to say!) that they are not able to see that forced conversion have NO value AT ALL???? They should be able to see it but they are blinded by their fanatism. Do it your way, but I think she doesn't love you if she is daring to force you to do anything against your will. You will not be able to say, NO ONE told you, I just did.

When talking to her mother does she refer to you as "the infidel"?
Mother: What are you doing tonight honey?
Daughter: I'm going out to dinner with the infidel.
Mother: OK, have fun.
But seriously, I STRONGLY disagree with anyone who would demand a conversion for the sake of her religion/culture at the expense of my own.
If you let her get her way with this she will quite likely walk all over you time and time again. It clearly upsets you so it's a VERY BAD IDEA to succumb to her demand.

if your chrisitan, dont get pulled into her grasp. Do Not Convert to ISlam! It wont do any good, you better find someone else that follows the same relgion as you do. you could say" if you like me you would respect my opinion of my religion". so if she dosnt change then leaver her

Don't convert for the "girlfriend"...........go for different believes for yourself after knowing the religion and feeling it convincing to you ! but not for a girl !

No, because you will only resent her for it. If because her mother would be upset is a logical reason to NOT change her religion well, then what would your mother say about you?
