i just got a number from myspace/facebook, and she said feel free to call her or text her whenever.... if i texted or called her right now (like an hour or so after she sent that message) would it seem like im being too clingy or desperate? or is it a good idea? i was thinking about sending a text right now, or should i wait "the 3 days rule" and call her in like 3 days? any advice would be appreciated thanks

what kind of girl is she?
if shes a party girl.. then put it off for a while.
if shes a nice girl..then text her tonight.
don't get to clingy ever.
The first time you ever call her make it seem like your getting ready to go somewhere. That way if talking on the phone is not going so well let her know that your leaving and that you'll caller her "later" then you pull the three day thing.
If the convo is good then tell her that your leaving but you'll call her if you don't get home to late. ask her whats the latest you can call (if you say your going to call then make sure to do these next steps). Text her 20 minutes be for the time she gave you saying that you just got home checking to see if shes still up. If you call her that same night and its another good convo. give her a good night text after your off the phone..if she text you back then don't respond till the next day.
This might not be as easy as it sounds, you will have to put in your own work too. be yourself and react to how she acts.

There are no specifics "rules" about what to do when you get a number, only common sense. If you call right away (within an hour) it makes you seem desperate. If you wait three days it will make her feel as if you are uninterested and can make her depressed. A good way to go about it would be to call tonight. That will show that you are excited to talk to her but not desperate and won't make her feel you are uninterested. Also, DO NOT TEXT HER! Women don't like that. If you are trying to get to know her you should be able to hear her and she should hear you. Good luck and I hope it works out!

use the day in a half or 2 day rule. Yes, it's sad but if you call too soon you will probably come across as needy or desperate to her. Most women like guys who don't try too hard and have a very active life without them.....my opinion.

It depends. Under 30 yoa and live in Cali....Definitely wait at least 48 hours. Over 30 yoa, living anywhere, call her later on tonight. Sorry, "games" to the littlest extent do work. Sorry, Cali blows like that...

three days is too long... if a guy hasnt called or texted me in two days im like screw him and usually dont give it another thought... try sometime tonight or tomorrow... so its not like instant communication but not like "im waiting because i could go without talking to you" does that make sense? lol

That 3 day rule is a superstition.
If she gave you her Tel # call her. why would she give you her tel# unless she wanted you to talk to her. Just dont go crazy on the phone calls, unless she wants you to.
