Evil is a pretty strong word. I think it would be unfair. I am sure she can learn to cook - get creative have an instructional date - could be lots of fun! Or if she just cant cook no matter what maybe you can cook and she can do other things. I think is is pretty drastic to call it the end of the road because she lacks some culinary skills.......
Unless there is something else going on and you are using this as a cop out......

Yes it would be evil. I cook at our house because my gal would burn water if I let her cook. At first I choked down her cooking and then I started bringing dinner home with me. That got too expensive, so I started cooking for us. I found out that I knew more about it than I thought and now I'm teaching her some easy recipes. My youngest step-daughter is learning with us and on weekends she often cooks something for us. Nothing says the girl has to cook. What would you do if you were single anyway?

YES!!!! That is horrible! I am sure there are lots of things that each of us can't do. If it is something that bothers you or you would like to get better at, why don't you take a cooking class with her and you both can share in the art of cooking! Then you would not have to depend on someone else cooking for you and maybe spoil someone else for a change.

hypothetically speaking, would it be evil for your girlfriend to dump you if you can't cook ? Evil ? No. Foolish, yes. Unless you are looking for an excuse to dump her anyway...give the gift of cooking classes for the both of you.

I can see why you would think something like this especially if it's someone you would like to spend the rest of your life with, but there is hope my friend, and there are ways to remedy this issue. Don't use it as a sole reason to leave her. Use it as an advantage. Spend nights and weekends together teaching her ways of cooking and perhaps going to cooking school together. A lot of local colleges offer cooking classes and you both could find it as a way to bond and make your heart grow more fond for each other.

Yes. If you love her. When I was young, And just starting out, I did not know how to cook. I was given a cook book. The cook book taught me a lot about cooking. There are so many stories out there about women who could not cook, when they were young. Years later, every one can laugh about the awful cooking that they done, and ate.

No, because if you want to dump her only for her cooking, you're probably not the best boyfriend for her. If that's the only problem then you really don't care about her. Do her a favor and dump her.

I'd say yes. First, there is no longer a presumption that cooking should be done by a "girl" rather than by a "boy" in a relationship. That's a hang over from a pre-1960s mentality that should die as rapid a death as possible. Further, pre-packaged foods make it so easy to cook passable meals that either of you can make them.
