my father was scottish and used to say this but i don't know what it means

awoe = AWA
From a song:

Juist a wee deoch-an-doris,

Juist a wee deoch-an-doris
Afore we gang awa.

i.e. "Just a little drink... before we go away"

Looks like "Before we go away" to me.
