Hi. Whatever wire that comes with a complete system is usually thin and not good enough. Some people put their own wire together to save money as good cables don't come cheap.
In general the thicker the diameter of the wire the better the sound particularly if the cable is very long. Some people argue you can't hear any difference between cables but i disagree. If you are unsure it is best to buy cables already made. Monster cable is very popular but there are alternatives.I have been using Van Den Hul speaker wire for 23 years and get excellent results. See what other brands they have in your area.Try to keep the length of the wire as short as possible between the amp and the speakers. to minimize signal loss.

There are plenty of speaker wires in the market, it just depend on your budget. Get a spool from a retail store like Best Buy, Fry's Electronics, Radio shack, this way you can cut the lenght you need. Monster cable are over priced, ask a saleperson and they can direct you to a proper size wires you need. There's not much difference between a $20 spool than the one costing $100. Hope this helps.

Jimmy: It's absolute crap that you have to shell out big bucks for speaker wire and cables, like the over advertised, way over priced Monster line! The necessary gage of speaker wire, for most systems owned by mere mortals, you use is determined more by the length of the run than anything else. If you have a $300 theater in a box set, upgrading to a $100 worth of speaker wire won't make enough difference that you will ever be able to tell the difference! Conversely, if you have a $10,000 system and are a classical musician, with a highly developed "ear," you may be well served to upgrade.

Look at www.MyCableMart.com for some ideas. If you have a relative cheapie set in a box that doesn't come with wire, and you have relatively short runs, you can probably get away fine with Hope Depot's best lamp cord, and no one will ever be able to tell the difference.

if you get a HTIB it will include wire you may want to upgrade. If you buy separates get good quality interconnects they make the system. experts like me say 10% of system in cables is a good marker.

If your system include the amp and speakers, yes it will.
If you buy the speaker seperate from the amp you will need about 50 feet of 14 gauge wire. 16 gauge will work for systems under 100 watts per channel.

Unless your a rich guy who likes to brag about speaker wire, just order the 12ga wire and theses banana plugs:

You really don't need anything more unless you have some $10,000+ speakers and amps.
