I just went to the dentist three months ago and all was normal then. It is three months till my next appointment. Why would one tooth be turning dark?

I don't think it is a cavity. The whole tooth is turning dark, not just one spot.

This usually means the tooth has died from the root...I would call your denist and tell him. He might want to get to it before it gets any worse...hope it helps.

It's highly possible that it's a cavity. They can form pretty quickly and it would turn dark because its rotting. I would go in before that scheduled checkup because most likely they will have to drill and fill. It's much easier now then losing the whole tooth.

Possible tooth decay. You should follow up with another appointment.

could be a cavity. try to get it looked at BEFORE your next appointment because it could most definately get worse.
