In thhe interest of sceince I decided to conduct an experiment.

I asked several procative Anti Atheists questions and several provocative anti Christian questions.

I recieved 3 violations for my Anti Atheists questions and none for my Anti Christian (religion) questions.

Also looking at the answers I recieved the Christians on here were less likely to insult me, or to answer defensivly.

So does this mean that Christians or more tolerant of diverging opinions and open to debate then Atheists?

I'm an old time atheist here and I don't recall ever reporting anyone for anything.

Bad scientific method. Difficult to know whether your subjects were Christians, atheists, theists or agnostics, or others. You also didn't take into account the possibility that Yahoo was screening out the reports of anti-Christian questions.

The only logical conclusion is that questions that are anti-atheist appear to receive legitimated reports more often than questions that are anti-Christian.

I rarely report abuse even if it's something that is completely outrageous, and I'm an atheist.

Perhaps it's just the atheist community here on Y!A getting sick of the christians doing the mass reporting of questions & answers & getting people kicked off of Y!A? I've seen a lot of very respectful atheists get kicked off of Y!A and have to create new screen names because a bunch of uppity christians decided to keep reporting all of their posts.

Are you just pissed because the atheists are beating you at your own game?

Although I disagree with your reason behind the experiment, I do find the result interesting. The thing about the scientific method is that you need a larger experimental group to make the results valid. It may have been chance. Keep trying, and see what your results are after 100 questions against each.

Every time I hear something like this, i think to myself "Aw sh-t, another uneducated angry atheist making us look bad"

I assure you that some of us are educated and mature. As long as your questions arent hateful, then I'll respect you and answer the question to the best of my ability being considerate of your beleifs. And I expect the same from you also in return.

I'd like to see what the questions were. You clearly have a bias and it may have affected the questions you asked. This is hardly a scientific poll--but then, you wouldn't have much use for science, I suspect.

It's because Christians have a remarkable ability to make malicious comments while still claiming to follow the Lord....

It's they, the hateful bashers, who force us to report to defend our own beliefs.

I have only reported 2 neo-nazi questions. That's all I've ever reported in my year on Yahoo! Answers.

Way to generalize.

You can't be sure of who is reporting you and giving you violations. People can report you without even answering your questions.
