Pride FC, UFC, International Fight League, or anybody else I left out.

Do you think fights should be separated by weight classes like other martial arts disciplines? For example Judo, TaeKwonDo, and Karate to just name a few.

What is your opinion on cage matches?

In order of preference. UFC/Pride, IFL, Bodog. UFC IMO has the best fighters from Lightweight to Middleweight. Pride has the better (overall) Light heavy and Heavyweight fighters. IFL has good overall fighters. I thought bodog was horrible except for the women, they were pretty good. If this was baseball UFC/Pride would be the Major Leagues, IFL would be AAA and Bodog would be A.

I agree with BG. Now that UFC has Pride there is no debate. They'll be able to give us the fights that everyone's wanted forever.
Weight classes are a must although, it was always fun to watch the open weight tournaments that Pride used to do.
A cage is better than a ring. The only bad thing about Pride is/ was the ring. Whenever a fighter was in trouble he could slip out of the ring to get a restart. A cage prevents that and adds so much more to a fight

With the acqusition of Pride the UFC is hands down the best league. With seperate belts and a yearly competition pitting champions from both sides together to hold a combined belt...that's some good fighting.

And yes...weight classes are necessary.

PRIDE if we consider all time. They still are a separate league, just owned by the UFC.

And it will stay that way unless UFC arranges an MMA superbowl: PRIDE Worldwide fighters vs UFC fighters. God himself would descend from heaven and bless that event.

MMA as a sport should require weight classes.

As a practice and art weight classes are irrelevant.

UFC is the best league.
