What's her personality? What does she look like? It's always more fun and meaningful to give a kitten a name that really suits her, not just something that sounds cute.

Examples:

A friend with a speckled kitten called her "Pepper".

Another friend that had a kitten that would get into everything called her "Mischief".

White cats: "Ghost", especially if they're always hiding from you.

"Indiana Jones", or "Indie" for short, if the cat's a daredevil.

If she's a love-aholic, call her something like "Honey" or "Sweetheart" or "Sweetie" or "LuLu" or so on.

Some really unusual or cute names I've heard:

Peanut

Macadamia

Santa

Cookie

Angel

Bigfoot

Lemondrop

Sookie

Wolfie

Freakazoid

E.T.

That sort of thing.

Depends on the cat. What kind of kitten is it? What does it look like? I honestly love the name jasper for a boy cat because it has PER in it which could also sound like PURR. For a girl cat I would try something cute. Sweet pea? Like i said it depends on the cat. Maybe she will give you the name that she wants later on while having her.

I have a tortishell that is named Persimmon because her orange stripe down her forehead is the color of persimmons. I have an orange male named Caboodle. Just don't give the cat a people name.

I named my cats Elsa and Simba. Elsa in honor of Joy Adamson, "Born Free" and her life's work she did with big cats--lions. And Simba because when he was a kitten he used to be pretty fearless and adventurous (not any more though, he's a big wimp now). Name your kitten after its personality, favorite book character, or something like that.

Cat names are almost never used. Cats only respond to food and kissy noises. So go hog wild. I have one cat named "Dog", one named "Mr No Pants", and one named "Dr Janice Flopsworth".

Missy is a good one but you may want to watch her for a bit and see how she acts that way you can find something that fits well.
