As long as the doctor says it is okay then everything is fine. My 10 month old just started crawling this week. My daughter was late on everything too. As much as you want him to crawl your gonna miss the days when they just loved to lay there. Try to ignore people that need to mind their own buisness by telling you there is something wrong - unless they are doctor.

Some kids never crawl, they start pulling up on stuff and start walking. They skip crawling all together.
Just watch your baby and make sure that he can move his joints well, and that when he scoots he is using both legs not just one. If he seems to be moving one side of his body more than the other then there could be a problem.

My middle daughter did not crawl until she was 13 months old, nor did she walk until she was 16 months old. Today she is 11 years old, a straight-A student, and can do cartwheels and back walkovers! She had a very big head as a baby, and I think it took her a little longer to develop enough strength to lift that huge head off the ground before she could crawl! But you don't need to worry, especially since he is rolling and scooting. Obviously he knows how to move!

I wouldn't be worried.
My 2nd child went through the same thing!
And my ped. at the time was making a big stink about it and wanted me to send her to physical therapy b/c she was about 14 months old and wasn't walking or crawling-all she did was scoot all over the place!
I disagreed with my ped. and refused the therapy, b/c I felt that she was a late walker like her daddy.
My ped. wasn't too pleased with my choice, but I knew in my gut that she was wrong!
3 months later, my daughter started to walk all on her own at 17 months(turned out to be same age that her dad started walking! Coincidence?)!
And come to find out years after that, my hubby has an aunt who scooted around the floor too at that age!
You should ask family members if any of them were late walkers. It could just be hereditary. Or something as simple as-every kid progresses on their own schedule.
But I wouldn't worry.
Good Luck!

My son scooted on his belly, then started walking (no crawling). I know several kids that didn't walk until 13 or 14 months.

Some children skip crawling completely. I would definitely mention any concerns to your pediatrician, though.
My bet is your little guy will work on pulling up and skip the crawling stage. Many babies scoot and roll instead of crawling.

Every kid is different. Some learn to crawl faster than others. Don't compare your baby to others as long as he is healthy and happy. My son didn't crawl that much and go straight to walking and cruising. He started walking at 15 months. Good luck.

No that's not bad at all babies can't and shouldn't be put on the same time table as other babies. Cause they do everything n there own time and by the way some babies skip major crawling meaning they do it very little and decide they rather walk instead..

Some kids skip crawling and just get up and start walking. Does he show any interest in pulling himself up to stand near furniture?
