There is this girl I work with that I like, but I she does she not mention her boyfriend, I only know she has one from comments other people have made?
When I ask what she is doing at the weekend/evening she never mentions who she is going with?
Why would she do this?
Most girls I know like to talk about their boyfriends all the time. I would like to hear from women/girls why they personally would do this or if they have done this in the past.

I've done this. Generally because I personally find it annoying when someone talks about their boyfriend or girlfriend 24/7.
Or if I am not really sure where our relationship stands.

Most likely because she may sort of like you. She probably likes her boyfriend but may not be in love with him. So, if you were to ask her out or something she may even except or she might then say to that she has a boyfriend. Some girls when they are not sure if they are in love, even if they have boyfriends, try to keep their options open by not talking about their relationship. However, some girls simply just don't like to talk about their personal lives at work.

The only thing that would make a girl deny or not mention her boyfriend to another guy is most probably she likes that person and she might be thinking that admitting to you that she does have a boyfriend would affect whatever relationship you have with her be it friendship or more. She could even be considering the idea to take a risk and go beyond that friendship.

I have done this in the past, and sometimes still do this, because I was worried that things weren't going to work with my boyfriend and wanted to make sure my options were still open. Sometimes I find myself more interested in another guy, so I don't want him to know I have a boyfriend because he might not like me.
This girl might like you, and maybe she doesn't want you to know because then you won't be interested in her. You should ask her about it, or casually mention if she's seeing someone. Maybe she'll tell you the truth or inform you that she's on the verge of breaking up. You never know.

There could be lots of reasons.
Maybe she thinks you would not be interested.
Maybe she likes you (even if that is the case, though, she still has a boyfriend).
Maybe she does not hang out with him too much.
I would not try to read into it because it is impossible to guess what is going on in our minds. I would just enjoy her company and see if she opens up more with time.

Some reasons:
1. She may realize that you like her and therefore feel insensitive to mention her boyfriend in front of you.
2. She may actually like you, and doesn't want you to feel like she's tied up with a boyfriend.
3. She may feel self-concious, vain, or showy by mentioning her boyfriend.
Most likely #1.

I work with a lot of men, so I don't mention my boyfriend every second because they know I'm taken. I'm not insecure. Also, we've been together for almost 4 years, so he's just like a friend to me too.
Since you know she's taken, I'd set your sights on a single woman.

It could be because he doesn't want her to. I know in my relationship my boyfriend doesn't like for me to go around telling people about us, because when they know I have a boyfriend they want to ask a million questions about them and our status and he doesn't want people all in our business. So that could be the reason. It could be because her and her boyfriend have talked about it and made a decision to not be open about their relationship.

No I have never done this, but I think why she is doing this is that you never ask or she could be interested in you. Just ask her and hear what she says.
