It's all kind of relatively speaking. I have just graduate nursing school. I am hired at 23 dollars an hour. I could have got a job at another hospital for 26 an hour. They pay shift differentials also. That said...you work your *$$ off. You have someone's life in your hands. And the threat of being sued for even a simple mistake, and or losing your license to be a nurse. So yeah the pay is pretty good but you definately work for it and probably should earn more for the work that you have to do. Also, pay depends on the area that you are in. The $26 one was in a large city and I also would have had to pay union dues. I chose the lower paying because of the specialty I wanted (perioperative--OR). Do you want to be a nurse? It is such a rewarding job. I love it!

I do not know, what is the reason behind your question. In some cases the the nurses may work like servant, mother ,father or even friend phylosofer and guide and at that time the get more income, it all depends the care the deliver to the appropriate patient and and the patient financial conditions.Don't compare Doctors with nurses, doctors only diognosis and gives pills, the nurse reads the mind of the patient and cares for his recovery, along with the medicine ,she pours love, affection, what a mother or father could not able to give to the the patient due to their time management or else lack of ignorance or intollernce.

Nurses that come to foreign countries such as the us and uk are known to make a lot of money. However, they are not given a high status and even considered "cheap" because it's like a dirty job in most nursing homes and hospitals in foreign countries.
so, if you want money and want to work long hours, be a nurse.
if you don't- find a different job

It seems to depend on where you are working. Nurses here in Minnesota seem to make pretty good money but in the south they aren't paid so well.
Overall I would say nurses make a fine living.

The do make a lot of money for having an associate's degree. So if you want 2yrs of very minimal training and get paid on the same pay scale as someone with a graduate degree, then go for it! You'll actually get trained on the job.

In Australia, full time RNs make between 40 000-55 000 per year. This is assuming you work 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (or at getting paid for holidays).

That really depends. Are we talking MA's or RN's or LPN's? Also, what state and what type of medical field would it be in? Those questions are the factors in what type of money you will make.
